So I am to believe this kid did absolutely nothing and got randomly taken down by a cop? That doesn't pass the bullshite test.
No, but it also doesn't pass the bullshite test that the kid pushed the cop immediately after the cop identified himself
I think the cop probably did get pushed, but I don't think he identified himself.

The only two charges that could have given PC for initial arrest are inciting a riot (Hanging with friends after a parade) and the battery on an officer (the "push")
I agree with you, however if you walk up to a cop in public and yelled frick the police to his face, 9 times out of 10 you will get arrested for some BS charge like disturbing the peace. That's all I'm saying

Drunk people push cops a good bit of the time. I won't immediately dismiss that as a possibility in this situation. Still may not justify the 4 head punches, but it sure would help if a push happened.

Link? Any tangible proof of this claim?

This is what I'm thinking also and as the original story stated, the kid walked up after he saw The cop screwing with his friend. I said from the beginning, I don't believe the cop or cops identified themselves or proved they were cops.

so the kid is geting up (pulled up with the cops assitance) and then is promptly tossed on the ground and punched in the face several times because his hands are trying to protect himself which is natural human reaction when getting punched in the face. It's pretty tough to tell your brain "hey this is a cop that is tossing me around like a rag doll, i better submit now before he...no wait he's punching me in the face repeatedly"
The guy is a trained MMA fighter and he couldn't subdue a fricking scrawny 17 year old kid!? Must be a shitty MMA fighter.
I'm not saying the kid isn't mos likely a TPOS who deserved every punch he got, but as a cop you have to hold yourself to a higher standard than this.
all of this. I don't care who you are, unless you knocked out cold, you are going to try and defend your self from face punches.
TPOS cop needs to lose his job.

Yep, cop sure did throw the boy back down on the ground! Jack hole.

Good to see you somehow know this kid and his family.
Family seems pretty trashy to me. My mom certainly wasn't hanging out and drinking with me at 17 and especially wouldn't be posing for pictures.

If the kid pushed the cop first then I refuse to believe he knew he was pushing a cop. The cop was working an undercover detail.
This, undercover parade detail cops don't identify themselves until initiating the arrests.

this is one of the problems with the overuse of undercover cops

LUNCHBOX you work for JPSO?
No he just plays 'devils advocate' on here. He always goes into these threads pretending to have an open mind and then jumps on whatever side has the least popularity.
It's been his MO for a while
Like LucasP but not nearly as in your face about it.

All of my cop friends and family have posted this extended video as a victory for the cop. I am trying very hard to see what they see, but I have no clue how those extra 13 seconds make that deputy look any better.
All I see is the cop and his partner start to try and pull the kid up, and the kid drunkenly trying to stand up, and then the cop hip tosses him back to the ground where the video picks up where the original started. How does that exonerate the deputy?

the thin blue line upsets me, they defend each other NO MATTER WHAT.

The only thing I can think of is the kid looks like he grabs the cops leg and holds on as the cop is trying to pick him up. They cop may have thought the kid was trying to pull him back down. Depending on how drunk the kid was (which is exactly why it's relevant even though his dumb attorney says it's not) the kid grabbing his leg while trying to stand up could have been misconstrued. The punches to the face were still excessive.

It is really only relevant when attacking the character of the kid. Doesn't matter how loaded the kids was his actions did warrant that use of force.

I missed the leg grab, but the kid was halfway up and one hand was ground pushing off the ground, so the toss had to come after the leg grab. Seemed like if the cop had just kept him up and turned him around, nothing would have happened.

the kid getting punched could have made a better video then whoever shot that shite.
