I have to go stay the night in Hammond for work, and was wondering if there's anything worth checking out? I'm good with any type of food and level of sophistication.

Berry Patch Cafe, Tope La, Sushi place wasn't too bad

Tope La would be my choice for a nice meal downtown. Grab a beer o wine at Red White Brew afterwards.

Tope La is a great suggestion. We always enjoy our meals there. A lot of people really like The Steakhouse (also downtown). If you need a breakfast spot, check out Yellow Bird. The service can be hit or miss, but I love the food (it's a small cafe).

I've always thought Mariners was a cool place. Nothing exciting but a pretty cool vibe

Eddie's frozen custard is legit for dessert.

Lees Drive in on Thomas Street. Great food, cute friendly waitresses, throwback atmosphere.

Trey Yuen has lunch menu and prices on Monday and Thursday if you like Chinese.
