Okay Dan.

I'm not sure. Even with Goofdell trying to turn the NFL into Arenaball, 5000 is still rarefied air. Only one quarterback in the history of the league has multiple 5000-yard seasons.

Marino can have his 6,000 yard regular season.
Super bowl loss to NFC champ SF is what people remember.
All 4 SF DBs were all pro. SF defense was best vs scoring in the NFL.

doubt it. He wasn't as fast, as strong, as big, or with as big an arm as today's QBs.
Holy shite. Dan Marino is one of the most physically gifted qbs in the history of the NFL. His release is still the quickest release ive ever seen.

Wow. Seriously?
Marino would own lives with today's rules.

I don't doubt he would have. Marino

Yeah, Dan would thrive in today's passing game. The ball came out of his hand faster than anyone.

I love Marino and think he would've been great in today's game.
But if he threw for 6000 yards, Neil Lomax would've thrown for 5600 yards... and I can't accept that.

Probably not, but I wouldn't doubt he would throw for over 5,000.
He did that when he played.

No Dan, no you wouldn't have
Posted on 2/26/15 at 10:10 pm to KCT
Yes he would have.
He had over 5,000 in 1984.
Best pure passer ever. Good size, great arm even my today's standards.

He was a whiny bitch who kinda sprayed the ball around. Fairly certain he had a sub .60 completion percentage for his career. Nice release though.

Dan Marino+ 59.4% 1983-1999 mia
Yuppers. For his career he was less accurate than such notables as Cam Newton, Tim Couch, and David Carr.
He did have two monstrous, badass seasons in the early 80's though. There's a reason he never won shite, and it's not entirely a lack of a running game.

Even giving him a mulligan for that game, the thing I can't get over is that he managed one SB appearance playing in the AFC when it was simply abysmal.
I also have no idea what "pure passer" even means, other than stat compiler

I saw Marino in the Jacksonville airport a few hours ago... Looks like he could still sling it.
