I dont think its calling anyone scrubs when its not even debatable how Much league rules are in favor of offense now. Even baf qbs put up god numbers

Marino was throwing it 50 times back then. That's why he put up great numbers. His attempts wouldn't go up. Do we think his completion percentage would go up? 5 points. 10 points?

The bottom line is that Marino was great. But, he's not in a different league than Rodgers, Manning, etc. Marino had a TON of padded stats.

If Manning and Rodgers aren't putting up those numbers...neither would Marino.

Also, while the rules have changed to favor the offensive passing game, the sophistication of the passing offenses has evolved well beyond the Marino years.

I remember when Namath and Fouts were the only two to throw for 4,000. At the time, no one thought about anyone throwing for 5,000.

Marino threw for 5,000 yards 24 years before anyone else. He would throw for 6,000 yards consistently in today's league. Hell, he might even approach 7,000 yards. He would also have a 60 TD season or two. He threw for 40 touchdowns twice 15 years before anyone else did it once.

Lol no he wouldn't. He was an elite talent, but I don't think he was leaps and bounds better than Brady, Manning, Brees, or Rodgers.

I agree here.. He had ONE magical season. He would do about the same in this day and age.
