Press Release
LSU accounting students passed the CPA exam at 69.1% a huge increase from what it was just a few years ago.
Stats taken from the LSU System Institution's Metric Data for Feb 2012 show the following
2006-2007 36%
2007-2008 37%
2008-2009 36%
2009-2010 39%
LSU has gone from downright abysmal to one of the elite schools in the country when ranking the accounting program on CPA pass rate. Kudos to the kids that studied hard and are now out there making OT ballin money

Is that for each part of passing all 4 parts within a certain time frame?

So they finally learned how to cheat. Go for them. That skill will probably take them further in life than the actual degree.

Budget cuts about to put LSU back in the gutter

I passed in November, became licensed in January. Unfortunately I didn't pass them all on the first attempt.

Got my results back for the final part on the 4th; passed each on the first time.
The test itself isn't hard; motivating yourself to study that garbage after working a full day is the hard part. I didn't half-arse studying bc I didn't want to have to retake stuff; the passing or failing by a point or two isn't a fun feeling regardless of whether you pass unless it's the last test.

Every friend I have that is a CPA works like a dog and makes $50K. Doesn't seem worth it.

Now only imagine if we had a program geared for students to pass the CPA like UT

Title is misleading.
It's only ranked 8th "out of the 40 universities in the country with the most exam candidates" which is still good but isn't 8th nationally. A lot of larger schools aren't that good or at least aren't that selective.

These numbers are so bad there's no way they're right. The national pass rate is just under 50%.
