Sam Bowie still had an 11 year career despite the worst knees known to man. Makes me wonder if they could've defeated Georgetown for a NCAA Championship at UK and whether anyone would scoff at him being picked over Michael Jordan if he hadn't starting breaking down his sophomore year of college.

When I think of injuries, Dennis Dixon at Oregon always pops into my head. He would have won the heiman and led oregon to a NC.

Oden had an injury history in college and the Blazers still gambled on him.
Well.. ya know.. Bowie had an even worse one in college.

For Gamecock fans the answer is of course Marcus Lattimore.
eta: And speaking of Gamecocks someone also mentioned Sterling Sharpe, was having an incredible career.

I would bring up Yao, but I don't want to rustle RTR's jimmies.
Brandon Roy was a damn star. Dude was so clutch. I think he was better than Lillard. He was one of my favorites.
Now to rustle RTR's jimmies, I'm going to say T-Mac, but I think it was his own fault. The guy just didn't take care of his body with good rehab and such. His very short prime (in Orlando) was ridiculously awesome.

Penny. Andrew Bugot was on his way to being what we have in Marc Gasol, until he had that freakish arm injury

I think this video is pretty relevant to this thread.
Brandon Roy hits the fade-away two with 1.9 left.
Yao Ming hits the And-1, but the clock stops at 0.8 because of the foul.
Then Brandon Roy hits the ridiculous three to win.

TMAC was the best offensive talent i've ever seen. the thing is in Toronto, he was more known for his defense.

That sequence is always the first thing I think of when I think about B-Roy

Yeah. I will never forget that. My brother and I just sat silent in the room for 20 minutes. And of course the Lillard shot in the playoffs just ripped off the scab.

I seriously couldn't believe that shite. One of those postseason moments that just stuns you even if you have no dog in the fight.

Seriously just classic Rockets though. At least it wasn't game 7. That's how it usually goes down.
People always make fun of us for not getting out of the first round, but we never get dominated. It always seems like we don't catch any breaks and still take it 7. So frustrating. And it's why I loathe the success of San Antonio.

Hey, our run of success is probably just about over, so maybe we'll send the remaining good vibes up I-10 to y'all if you say pretty please and throw in a bottle of wine for Pop

One of my best friends is a huge Spurs fan, and I was with him for the Game 6 Ray Allen shot. I felt horrible for him. Then the Spurs won the next year, and I remembered that he deserved that horrible loss.

Bruh...a part of me died a horrible, screaming death that night That one stung ya boi. That's the kind of shite that'll change you as a fan if you're too emotionally invested.
The only reason I can talk about it now is because of the way 2014 went down. For real.
Which is why I hardly even care how this year goes down for SA. Nothing beats that redemption run. The Big3 era is complete in my mind.
