I can't think of a hot non-BA beer off the top of my head, but I'm sure there are some that I've had.
I find that Abrasive is a hotter DIPA than something like Heady (comparing similar beers of the same style). There's just more alcohol warmth in Abrasive than many DIPAs. I find that's the thing that holds it back from being a top tier DIPA.

I'm not old and I haven't lived there since I was 17.

You beat me to it.
I enjoy the simpleton trolls in this thread.

I've only had one taste of Heady, and while outstanding, I didn't get to appreciate it like I'd want to. I don't feel qualified to split the hairs necessary to distinguish between beers of that quality when I've not had enough of them.

yep that heady is the one big one I haven't had yet amongst the dipa.

Why?

Is everything just good or bad?

.I get some people get a bit carried away, just go read some descriptions on BA,
quote:I just don't get it.
but describing mouthfeel seems pretty standard to me.

Eh, I'm not one to give overly detailed descriptions either, but I don't think it's "mental patient" level Some people have the ability to distinguish tastes that I cannot, and as long as they aren't being so ridiculous that I laugh at them (and yes, this happens even on this board), I don't think there's anything wrong with it.
While I've never used the particular word "mouthfeel", it really isn't a matter of opinion as to whether or not beers vary in viscosity. If you prefer a different term to describe that, so be it.

i don't blame you. its a slippery slope around here when female posters start throwing around mouthfeel. you don't need that kind of harrassment

Have you ever had Ten Fidy? If so please describe for me. Just curious how you would describe certain beers.

Have you ever had Ten Fidy?
Is there a bad mouthfeel in a beer that you think tastes good? Is there a good mouthfeel in a beer you think tastes bad?

"Hey baby girl. Come on back to my place and I'll let you appreciate the mouthfeel of my bid heady dipa."
