Looked like he had springs in his shoes.

No, they move most of the slapsticks to where they think you can reach. He only moves like 2 of them.

Ya I've used one of those devices before but couldn't tell if they just messed up or not on setting it.

Slap sticks is what I should ha e went with there. Mind not working today.

Not unless a wicked game of leap frog breaks out,

He's a db. So i want to see his vertical, his footwork in and out of breaks, his 40 time and his ball skills. standing broad jump while an impressive feat means little in football imo.

Records are made to be broken

Insane jump though. Imo broad jump is one of the most useful assessment tools out there.

Pretty staggering number considering he jumped 15 inches longer than Marquise Goodwin, a world class long jumper.

Shows explosiveness and athleticism. I'd pick it over the bench test

This guy is insanely athletic. If his NFL career doesnt work out. He should definitely train for the olympic long jump.

Didn't want to start a new topic, but Trae Waynes ran a 4.31. Crazy fast for a player that is likely the No. 1 cornerback off the board.

Fun fact: him and Melvin Gordon were HS teammates (same class) and remain best friends. Pretty wild that these two are likely first round picks and hail from Kenosha, a city in the SE corner of Wisconsin.

shite. The average man can't running broad jump 12 feet much less do it from a stand still.

Um, obviously you never find a need to just jump 12 feet in football.

But, it damned sure is an indication of explosiveness and explosiveness is absolutely important in football.

The technical, less used term is "slappy dealies"

Should this guy legit start possibly training for the long jump?

do not know player in question, but if he is a decent football player, with that kind of athleticism, the ghost of Al Davis will draft him two rounds ahead of what Mel Kiper jr thinks is the right round for him.

He has ALREADY been training for the NFL since he was 14.
