How can some of y'all be upset with acquiring a decent spot starting PG in Cole for some end of the bench player who never hit a freaking shot all season in salmons?

Cole's athleticism and quickness will work well with Anthony Davis. Go back and watch when he was playing along side James in Heat games. They paired up better than any PG James ever played with.

Hamilton and Ish are good pick ups, especially Ish. He plays hard nosed defense first then worries about the passing and scoring. That's the type of player the current Pelican's head coach loves. And Coach Monty isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

So many idiots on this board it isn't even funny. This trade was awesome for the Pellies any way you look at it. Anyone saying otherwise is a fool. We finally have some needed depth in certain areas. Thank the lord.

spot starting PG

His stats and a bunch of knowledgeable posters on here say otherwise. But still, it's better than Salmons.

You aware we aren't getting Hamiltion or Ish anymore

It's Salmons for Cole and we buying out williams contract

And we are the idiots?

And yea cole is a good defender but he is a back up point at best and yea I agree the only true positive about this trade is we only traded away Salmons

This is the true problem with this team

I think we did well, we addressed our needs and improved our overall talent. We did it with in a very affordable manner, we can't afford any big time Free Agents. What we got is what we need, veteran contributors who can come in and bolster the second line and put in meaningful minutes.

Cole is a fine pick up for a 4th guard, especially for Salmons's corpse. I do cringe at the thought of Monty rolling out Cole/Jimmer backcourt on a regular basis though

That they bought out Williams is disappointing

Couldn't dell go after a guy that's been bought out?

I wouldn't mind signing Perkins, Detroit will probably buy him out

I think Cole could definitely have a Q-pon type effect on this team.

He's been on a team that went to and won multiple titles and he's always been noted as a pro. He also won't be asked to do as much due to Tyreke/EG doing most of the ballhandling.

Sometimes guys can bring more than numbers.

I haven't read the entire thread, so I apologize in advance since I'm sure it's been mentioned before. Any chance Cole has been brought in because of Jrue's situation? Maybe the extra PG is in case he is possibly further away than what's being reported?

We needed a solid back up PG/SG regardless and he fits the mold of what we need: Defensive guy that's quick and can create his own shot. He's also a champion and has more playoff experience than our entire roster.

Guys like jimmer/wolters etc aren't cutting it.
