2 first rounds picks were too much to give up in the first place

Will Monty get another year pass?
No. If he lost AD for majority of the season? Sure.
But this is a PG that you pretty much replaced with your 6 man and didn't really miss a beat offensively.

Draft picks are such a crap shoot, but they do help provide depth and help with the cap.
The Holiday situation is bad luck more than anything.

Check out Captain Hindsight. Using this outcome of poor health against the trade is downright silly.

Monty stays as HC w/staff changes.

Fletch so not true, but is Monty with staff changes > Avery?

Trying to give me a heart attack? Because both of those options give me a heart attack.

2 big questions for me here:
- Who comes in replacing who?
- If they bolt for better jobs like Mike Malone and Monty flounders like a fish out of water, can we use a much shorter leash than we're using now?
They better be some damn splashy head assistant hires for me to want Williams as the HC, even over Avery. If Avery blows it (and we retain the same GM), there's no reason to believe he'll have a 5 year leash. This whole debacle is going on right now because Monty got hired before Dell, and Monty got put on Team USA.

What about Option C Solo?
Monty with new assistants followed by his successor a couple years later...Avery Johnson.

The guy that lost his job to exum and could be moved?
Yeah no
Nerlens is shooting 44% for a big
These guys are backups right now on any decent team.

Jared Dudley was on Zach Lowe's podcast this week and he told a story about his knee injury with the Clippers. Basically a year of rehabbing with them and it didn't improve. First thing when he got traded to the Bucks, they recommended working with a trainer, from Los Angeles ironcially, that had him do things kind of like what got Gordon healthy, strengthen surrounding muscles to take pressure off the knee. Within a week he felt back to normal. Having the right training staff and facilities really can make a big difference.
Not to sound like a dick, but any trainer, PT, or ortho who DIDN'T recommend strengthening the surrounding musculature had no right to be working in any capacity. That's not exactly some huge breakthrough.
Unless you're the all healing suns training staff /therapists. Who heal by the power of touch.

This was the Donald Sterling Clippers, who in many regards were run like the George Shinn Hornets. Also, I think you are wrong to assume everyone would give the same advice. Eric Gordon finally got his knee right after seeing multiple doctors and having multiple surgeries, but not because of the surgeries, but because 2 years after getting injured he went to a doctor in Chicago who told him to go to LA and do rehab that focused on strengthening the surrounding muscles. Yeah it'd be nice if everyone was good at their jobs, but the reason we're talking about is that it's pretty evident they aren't.
