I saw that since March 15, Singleton is 2/23 with 11 strikeouts and pretty much swinging for the fences every time. My guess is he's headed to Fresno

yes he needs to go down. he hasn't learned anything from last year. he'll never make it with that approach.
Hopefully Gattis or Carter can play !B and not be a complete Butcher

I think both the team and Singleton would be better off. I don't have a problem with Carter at 1B. Hes a career .990 Field % at 1B. Singleton finished last year with a .987

I would think Villar or Dominguez probably takes his spot (probably Villar since he's been working in the OF). Or maybe they carry five true outfielders since Gattis would be playing more 1B/DH and both Grossman and Presley make it?
I don't want them to put Singleton at the ML level just to get him Major League at bats or because he has nothing left to prove at AAA. I want them to be putting the best lineup out there to win games

ETA: just noticed that tomorrow's matchup is Cosart Vs. Keuchal. Too bad it won't be on ROOT.
And now Cosart has been scratched due to a "blister on his right middle finger".
Where a pitcher getting a blister on his picthing hand is not out of the norm... I find it pretty funny that the headline on marlins.com right below the "cosart scratched" article is "Cosart cooperating with MLB" on the gambling "allegations".
Ok... enough about Cosart.
I hate ST off days.
Here's some Astros gifs for your time:
ETA: one more. which DAT poster is this??

That guy is too young and in far too good of shape to be me.

The 5th rotation spot officially down to Carbona and Wojo. Deduno will be long relief

Reliever Josh Fields is still hurting and may not be ready for Opening Day, while Robbie Grossman is slightly ahead of Jonathan Villar after both suffered injuries in Wednesday's spring game.

Interesting there's no mention of Presley in there. I guess Obie will be good to go as well

Dammit everytime I think about baseball season starting I smile... Then I realize that im going to watch the Astros on my own fricking TV, not some crappy illegal Japanese stream, I get downright giddy.

And just got the alert that Aiken had Tommy John Surgery. I hate to celebrate an injury..... But suck it haters.

Nobody really wins here. The Astros still went a year with no first round pick and a kid is missing out in being a pro baseball player now. All weve really gotten is some justification and back tracking from the media conceding that the Astros aren't actually run by heartless communists.

Pretty shitty, kids still young. It would suck so hard for that to happen after all that

Wow, I'm not throwing confetti or anything but that was a good call by the Stros. Glad he didn't take the 5 mill they offered.

I'm more pissed about apple over Bryant than I am about the Aiken debacle.

2012- Correa
2013- Bryant
2014- Rodon
in my dream world.

Well, sometimes the results of a physical are just the results of a physical and not some manipulation.
Aiken can go about rehabbing while Cosart can lay odds on whether the kid ever pitches in the majors.
