So true freshmen will have to be ready to play immediately
Yes. That is the plan, and it is a good one.
The 2016 LB recruits will come to LSU ready to play day one. And we are more likely to get them on campus by offering them immediate playing time, rather than asking them to compete with scubs and JUCOs.

Voorhies was CB
No. He played qb in hs. Just like Melvin Jones and beckwith. But he was always looked at as a safety.

LB in 16 is a problem, but you have to believe they are looking at:
D Voorhies has the frame to play at 225 or so and is tougher than my childhood;
L Neal takes a step back, not sure about his speed;
Steele has a couple of LBs parked in JUCO, this is highly likely. If we have true freshmen playing LB in 2016 we are in trouble.

Do you honestly believe the coaches didn't know this or you literally just made a huge discovery that Miles an Co. need to know about ASAP?
wouldn't hurt to call the football office spread the word

This is why this years class was disappointing to me. Steele is a LB coach and he couldn't get anyone to flip. Not a great start, but i understand he had limited time. JUCO LBs..... look for them now!
After reading this I realize LSUmurple has no idea how recruiting works and am glad he's not coaching at LSU.

Melvin Jones was the #4 ILB in 2013, he's now a fullback, could he possibly switch back to LB?
It will be interesting to see what Steele does with the defensive scheme and personnel.
I just realized MJ is gone

We will move a TE and one of last years safeties to LB.... All is good. Just chill and watch the new staff

This is where Coach O might be instrumental with his strong contacts in Southern California.
California is loaded with top tier Lber prospects next year.
Would not be surprised to see a few at least visit Baton Rouge.

Devin White will play as a freshman. Voorhies will be the next Kwon.

They can go after Leo Lewis again after he finishes juco

Chavis would have had to actually recruit before blaming him.

If he were still on the team, yes.
