re: How long will LSU and BR turn a blind eye to the trash north of campus?

I have always wondered why it is taking so long for "the bottom" to become gentrified. It is just not happening. With all the money tied to LSU donors that is available for real estate development, they still allow that whole stretch on either side of Highland Road to look like Detroit. I don't get it. Buy all that shite up and send those folks elsewhere.

when will lsu finally admit that the university of louisiana is a better college and take it's place as a directional school?

I thought they started cleaning house already in that area
They have. Already one new apartment complex there and another being built right now right across from the Natatorium. Its not gonna happen overnight but hopefully in 10-15 years we can clean up the area between LSU and downtown.

If you build a Starbucks, wealthier people will come

If LSU said they needed a dime to clean up the are north of campus I would tell them to get bent.
Protect the campus yourself, don't ask me for help. I really don't care if the freeloading students get help, they aren't paying taxes.

Because no one in BR really wants to live by LSU. In places like New Orleans you have qualities that attract people to live in less than desirable areas. None of those qualities exist near LSU.

There is a truly insane amount of money being poured into that neighborhood in new investments. The trash will get priced out in the next few years

Terrible approach, I award you no points

LOL
I love how people talk about how north side of canpus is going downhill. They should have been around there in the late 90s early 00s. The place was a dump and had not a tenth of the money and development it has now.

There was a student robbed at gunpoint in the Hart Lot area.
I just don't get how this could happen in a gun free zone.
