Football:
EJ Kuale:
Probably the fastest, athletic linebacker in LSU History
LaBrandon Toefield:
In 2001 rushed for 992 yards and an SEC-record tying 19 TD's ... Led the SEC in touchdowns and total points (114) and ranked second in the league in rushing yards (992) and yards per game (82.7). Finished career at LSU with 2,149 yards rushing and 26 rushing TD's on 511 carries ... Ranked ninth in school history in rushing yards, eighth in rushing TD's and sixth in carries ... Had seven 100-yard rushing games and LSU was a perfect 7-0 in those contests ... Named First Team All-SEC in 2001 and earned SEC Offensive Player of the Week honors twice during his career
Dominick Davis:
Jerel Myers:
Name me a better 3rd down receiver in LSU history
Basketball:
Ross Neltner:
Ben Voogd:
Tack Minor:
Baseball:
Blair Barbier:
Hunter Gomez:
His "Softball" style pitching kept batter's guessing
Track:
Bennie Brazzel:
Everyone remembers Xavier Carter but no one remembers Bennie

Yeah tack minor was extremely overhyped and sucked. The exact opposite of the description for this thread.
Hunter Gomez is a good one. I'll throw in Blake Gill and Reggie Robinson

Brandon Taylor was the first name to come to mind when i saw the thread title.

Tack Minor was absolutely terrible. a PER Nazi if they tracked that back in his day.
Better Basketball answer would be Darrell Mitchell. On a team with Big Baby, Tyrus Thomas, and Tasmin Mitchell he was often overlooked and won several big games for us in boss moments.
I would also bring up Ronald Dupree. Good player on some bad LSU teams.
