It's 55 degrees outside and my wife is acting like it's 25.
Fwiw this is the one fight I won't give in, I'll fight her tIL the day we cease to be.
She can always add more layers, i can't take off my fricking skin.

Women are always fricking cold.

I always cut the heater off once my wife falls asleep. I can't breathe with that shite on.

Wife is always cold. I work 60 hour weeks, so she keeps the house how she likes it.

Ex-wife in residence turns the heater off at night, so house ends up being about 50 degrees in the morning. She says "it doesn't run right" when in fact it works just fine.

Not really... thermostat usually stays on about 67 degrees in winter and 71 in summer. House is pretty well insulated.

My wife will run it up to 76; its infuriating

We don't fight about that

Nope. I have the Nest upstairs and downstairs and she doesn't know how to control it.
I have full control over both thermostats. When I'm gone for a few days she'll call me to set the temp for her from my phone.
It saves us a lot of money by doing it this way.

If it's 50 degrees or warmer outside the heater SHOULD NOT be on

Mine goes 70s in the winter and 60s in the summer. I try to explain she's got it backwards but to no avail

Nest thermostat, and don't tell her you can control it with your phone.

Dont fight, but have a serious discussion about it nearly every single evening. We did awhile ago actually lol. She wanted heater on and I was hot. So we left heater off, gave her two blankets and turned ceiling fan on high.

We seldom ever have heat on. Maybe if it's down to the 20s at night. Otherwise heater off and more blankets at night. Wear sweats and long sleeve tshirt and light blanket on couch if I'm cold while watching tv.

I try to avoid arguments by walking around basically naked and constantly drinking ice water and tea all day. She'll have on a jacket hunched in front of a blasting heater vent AND a space heater (totally unnecessary as my gas furnace turns this place into a sauna in one minute max). I'll be sweating and flush.
The only time we are both truly comfortable (if it's anything other than 73 degrees out, w low humidity) is in bed. I insist on no heater and just electric blanket with individually controlled sides.
Can't wait to grow old together and melt before age 50.
