Will Brossette make an announcement before signing day?

Really hope he remains a tiger. I also think he has too much respect for LSU to flip on signing day. Will he announce his intentions between sticking with LSU and flipping to Texas before NSD?

I think he sticks with his commitment. He's a BR boy and plays football on LSU's campus

I think it goes down to the wire. If he waits until signing day, it won't be a sign of disrespect to anyone. I think he is sincerely torn. He loves LSU, but he's got a great relationship with the Longhorn coaches. I think he sticks to his commitment in the end, but we may not find out for sure until that fax comes in. Though, I'm sure someone could just run it over from UHigh.

Toshiro Davis actually broke SHaggyBevo when he committed to Texas on NSD.

Who knows what will happen with him... He did say this at an UA AA practice
Hope he sticks with is though
quote:
"Texas is just a strong program educationally," he said. "I think they are coming up in football and I think they are getting everything on the right track and I like Charlie Strong as a coach."
Hope he sticks with is though

Actually he moved to BR his 8th grade year I believe. Pretty sure he's from Bastrop.
I'm almost certain that is inaccurate.

You have to peg Miles' kid as the worst son/recruiter ever if he can't get this one home right?

Yea you're correct... Edited that post. Was told he moved down here when Mahaffey came to UHigh by someone who worked at UHigh when it happened. But that person was wrong

100 % this. The kid loves LSU, but at the end of the day he has to do what is best for his future. He won't announce, but I'm sure he would let the coaches know as soon as he did.

Agreed. If Chief can leave a couple of days after Amadi literally committed to LSU because of him and have it called a good career move then no one can judge a 18-year-old kid for wanting to go somewhere else for college.

Texas is strong educationally and that is a factor.
Good schools use this against LSU all the time and very few here comment on it.
It was a deciding factor this year for Tillery for example.
Even Alabama is starting this talk about their degree vs LSU, Ole Miss, State, Ark.
Tex A&M sells this against LSU with some justification.
If we want to improve recruiting for LSU, we should insist in it offering a higher quality education.
Yes, Jindal is screwing all higher education, but this is a much older issue.

Is he even going to LSU?

I mean he's playing baseball right? I've heard he isn't LSU caliber though. Regardless, his son was on an OV this past weekend.

Eh...tillery was ND from day one.
LSU is behind academically but these kids are going for football.
We'll never be vandy but LSU is just as good as auburn bama and a&m.

LSU may be behind academically, but it helps a lot more having a much bigger alumni base to deal with when trying to find a job, especially if you're trying to stay in the area.

No. Lsu isn't on A&m level and is behind bama. Not saying it really makes a huge difference in the job market but lsu is ranked no where near A&m as a university.

ND sold the Tilleys on the value of its degree.
An A&M degree is more marketable than LSUs nationally for most employers, and Alabama has begun to distinguish itself from some of the other SEC institutions.
At Auburn, you get a degree if you wear shoes.
This is one reason we have a hard time recruiting out west .
True, some HS players don't value the education, but we are at a disadvantage with the rest.

A degree from Alabama holds no more weight than one from LSU.
A&M, yes. But not Alabama.
