Often read a lot of negativity here on ole Paul. Before the new SEC Network came along I never saw or heard him even once. But I tried to keep an open mind and I have now watched parts of his show on SEC and have 3 big impressions:
1. The negs on PF are not wrong.
2. He has no love or respect for LSU.
3. He is an absolute Bama/Saban homer, to the degree that I'm surprised the rest of the SEC isn't objecting to ESPN brass or demanding equal time.
Honorable Mention: Out of what vile morass does he dredge his callers? They can easily be some of the dumbest of the dumb.

Let it also be said here that I do not regularly watch PF. I have to be really bored to put him on at all, and then for only a few minutes before my stomach turns.

All of us already know this. I don't think his show is as interesting as it used to be since joining ESPN either

you have to realize what he is. he's the "howard stern" of southern sports radio. he allows regular idiot callers in order to stir the pot. he is a very clever man. he knows exactly what he's doing. his fueling of the idiocy gets ratings. he broadcasts a show in the state that contains the dumbest and most obsessive fanbase in cfb. his callers are the equivalent of the in-studio porn stars. he placates to his target audience with constant conversation of auburn/bama. anything he can use to cause debate between the 2 respective fanbases creates callers and listeners. i mean, jesus, how else can he fill 4 hrs with college football talk during the offseason? many devoted secn people will watch his telecast beacuse they have no life to begin with. going with the broadcast and trying to become national has missed its target. other parts of the country have an offseason. their lives dont revolve 24/7 around bama. yes, he is a bama homer. he has press credentials and attends every game. EVERY game.

Never listened to him and never will. The ads for his show during the Herd and SVP are cringe worthy. fricking inbreds calling into that show.

Finebaum is the worst thing to ever be on the radio.

Espn giving him a TV show is so stupid. He is the definition of having a face for radio.

He is the sports version of Jerry Springer, Maury Povich and Rosie O'Donnell all rolled into one.

He has made a fortune of of the animosity he builds. People turn in to see a train wreck. The only way to get rid of him is for logical fans to tune him out.

The zealots do not hold enough sway to keep his ESPN show on the air.

he's the jerry springer of radio. find no interest in his show. Do not see how he's made it so big. alabama must have a huge population. can't imagine people outside of alabama finding interest in his show.

I don't understand how the SEC Network allows this guy to on their network. Yes I did watch only once but I had read about him on this site. First of all he has a face for radio if you know what mean. And it is so obvious that ihe is such a Bama Homer (I know I know I know he is a Tennessee grad) but still. Oh he tries not to be a GUMP but it comes out & is very obvious. And it may be different on other days but the majority of the callers are all GUMPS. So needless to say I do not watch his show. SEC Network must be desparate to give him that much time.

If you can tolerate the idiots who call the show, then listening Finebaum should be no problem. I've tried several times and never got past the second caller.

You aren't even hitting the biggest issue with his show. When he was doing just radio on the Paul Finebaum show it was a given the Bama and part time Auburn homer-ism on his show. If you listened to the show you knew what to expect so when you actually heard how bias he actually was it didn't surprise anyone. But on a National show like ESPN you are to expect professional journalism and the bias taken out of the conversations as much as possible. Unfortunately you can't get professional journalism out of Finebaum and for that hopefully ESPN replaces him sooner than later.
