Maybe Les is just saying those things to try and quell the uprising over the QB disaster. Les really wants AJ to be his QB and that's very obvious.

I think the fan base put too much on Harris with wanting him to start. I was frustrated with jennings, and wanted to see Harris. But it was pretty clear watching him that he didn't know the playbook very well, like any freshman QB.

You don't reward a kid with playing time if he's not doing what needs to be done as a teammate and player.

Hopefully Harris understands this and matures over off season.

Sounds good, but Les has been proven to be "deceptively honest." Whatever that means. He said that BH would play in damn near every game this past season. I'll wait to see it with my own eyes. I am cautiously optimistic.

This. Period.

If yall still believe anything Miles says in offseason or before a game, I don't know what to tell you. The dude keeps everything close to the vest.

Most people who watched the New Mexico St. game and the spring game knew Brandon was better thrower and runner. This has all the earmarks of just not knowing the playbook and presnap reads. Brandon is a smart kid and once he gets it he will leave Jennings in the dust. I was at the New Mexico St. game and Brandon could have went 0 for 15 in the Auburn game and I would still know who's got better tools. Jennings is a placeholder and will be holding a clipboard before too long.

Common sense based on the actions from a man for over a decade?

You people keep saying that and I get it based on Jefferson/Lee, but there has been a lot of press and a lot of angst over the offense and Miles all but indicted Jennings on not being a good passer in his recent comments to Cauble. He basically said we are handicapped in the passing game with Jennings in there (I know he used the word 'we', but there is only one person that is throwing the football). I thing Harris steps up, learns what he needs to learn and starts .....and it won't be close.

ETA : It's one thing to speculate about what Miles will do and say Jennings, but it's odd to me that one bad game has convinced so many fans that Jennings is better when we have so many more examples from AJ that he may be the worst passer in recent LSU history. It would be one thing if Jennings had a 15/16 280 yard game somewhere in there for you to point to, but to me Jennings looks worse each time out.

I hope this mindset mindset of Miles ispires BH.

His angst in the past had seemed to put a jinx on our QB's.

So pessimistic. I personally thinks Harris wins of he learns the playbook.

(I think Jennings may have been irreparably impacted by this past year). Kind of like what happened in 08 when both Jefferson and Lee were kind of ruined for the rest of their careers.

I'm so sick of this argument. There is literally nothing but speculation supporting it. Lee and Jefferson were ruined by playing early? They couldn't recover from what, mental anguish? Nonsense.

Lee even had a pretty damn strong senior season and Jefferson was the starter for years. You think poor play from either during their careers was because playing early ruined them forever? It's so laughable.

Love, love, love that Mora clip. Hadn't seen it in a while.

Sorta sums up the situation too. I hate to say it - b/c it was frustrating to watch - but I think CLM played this one the right way.

The Mora video sums up my thoughts on ALL situations involving Les and LSU Football... "Ya just really don't know.. you think you know, but you really don't know"

i think harris is the qb of the future and he will start. With that said, I'm quickly growing tired of his immature arse.

Freshman are not suppose to talk to the media, the kid goes back home and does an interview. He's threaten to transfer several times. He tweets about working hard and hints to not getting a fair shot. However, when he gets his shot, he fumbled snaps, he turned the wrong way on hand off's, he had no idea where to go with the ball before it's snapped.

basically, i'm not jennings fan, however, at least he keeps his mouth shut, works hard, supports his teamates and doesn't cause drama.

harris needs to keep his arse off twitter, his mouth away from reporters, and spend his time studying football and in the class room.

I have said it before and I still believe it to be the case. Les believes he ruined JL's psyche by playing him too early and he is not going to do that to a young man again; especially one who is as talented and has as much potential as Harris. His problems were mental, not physical, and playing him against Auburn turned out to be a huge mistake. I think Les saw the same thing happening all over again and knew if he allowed it to continue the press and The Rant would destroy his confidence before he could get a handle on things. JMHO

I wonder if Miles was at the same games I was? I've heard the same speel for a while now. Really hope what he said is true but not betting on it.

BS. Miles has played who he wanted since he's been at LSU. What Miles said about BHarris ANYONE that's not a PUMPER seen this, BUT he STARTED AJ anyway. After the spring game where AJ was AJ threw 2 pick SIXES and Harris had a really good game meant nothing to MILES his little MIND was made up. Joe Montana could have been there and AJ would have been the starter.
