Just curious to how the OB did this season.
I had a successful season imo - 6 pt, 7 pt, and doe. No trophies, but I'm in a small lease surrounded by other private land where not much deer management is practiced.

I blanked. Didn't even see a deer with a gun in my hand.

Missed a doe last week at 100 yds. I've never missed a deer with my rifle ever.
All in all a shite burger year for deer. And hunting in general.

Pretty good year here:
1 8 point w/ 270
2 does w/ 270
1 button buck w/ 12 gauge buckshot
The only downside is that REB Jr. didn't get one for the first time in 3 years. His stand is usually the hotspot, but not this year.

I got a doe the first weekend of rifle, and I missed two with my bow.
The next couple weekends will be meat hunting sessions. Hopefully throw a couple hogs in there too.

Hunted a bunch after the second doe to try for a buck but they didn't cooperate. Hope they survived to get bigger

Personally haven't shot a deer this year, I have a feeling that is going to change this weekend though.

I'm not looking to make excuses... I may need to change to a camo that doesn't stand out like a sore thumb and get a less conspicuous stand.

seen deer almost every hunt, sometimes 6-7 at a time. But have not shot one yet. Realy just want to get a shooter buck which i have 4 on camera but no luck. Just small 4 pts, spikes, does, etc. So i have just been watching deer

I've let over 50 walk within 30 yards this year, a couple won't get the same courtesy next year. Have been holding out for one of 3 P&Y bucks but they seem to do a lot of cruising right at 50 yards out. Decided to not even pick up a gun this year. May have to roll a doe soon.
