If this Lafayette woman approaches you in a parking lot, do not give her money.

Lafayette man warns that her sob stories are lies
quote:
A Lafayette man is warning others about a woman who has approached him multiple times over the last few years asking for money, claiming that her sob stories are nothing but lies. John J. Broussard posted a photo of the woman on Facebook after seeing her in the Pinhook Walmart parking lot walking with another woman who he believes was falling for her scheme.
According to the article she has scammed quite a large number of people. They even reveal a long list of spots she likes to do her scamming.
The more you know...

She might want to take off the earings, 5 rings, umpteen bracelets, sunglasses, and Toby Keith hat before she goes panhandling next time.

This also applies to that sack of shite that walks around downtown Nola with the hats saying he works for some organization (American Hunger or something). He's a con artist

Just by the pic, I can tell she has that raspy smoker's voice that only comes from years of dedication to whiskey and Marlboro's.

She's dressed mighty nice for being a beggar.

That's a LOOOOONG list of places. Tried to copy and paste on my phone, but to no avail. Someone on a computer post it.

I would let the Gypsy read my palm...
and then show her what the five fingers said to the face:

My line with people like that is, "damn I was about to ask you the same thing".

Shell station in lobdell a few weeks ago some dude came up and needed money for gas. Was coming from Houston to New Orleans for a job he was going to be making $30-40 an hour. With some rundown looking chick. I gave him $2. Walked away saying, I should have asked why he doesn't have a credit card. I'm sure it was some BS story, but a few bucks, and I was in a good mood.
But not next time, bringing up the credit card thing.

Come on OT detectives, out this woman. She must live in the Lafayette area. Probably has a mug shot out there somewhere.

Some people are professional panhandlers. I can understand ?the homeless people who beg, but some people do it faithfully as if its a job.
I live in Atlanta, one time leaving the mall. This lady approached me with a sad story, about how her family home caught on fire and she lost her husband and 3 kids, only one child survived. She was a great actor I'll tell you that. She even made a fake obituary. So I gave her some cash, I have no problem helping those who are less fortunate than me. Because i would only hope others would be willing to help me if the roles were reversed... but anyways fast forward couple years later. Opposite side of Atl, the same lady approached me with the same story. This time she had a child in on the act too. It made me sick to my stomach

She's got a lot of jewelry for a beggar. Maybe she should hit up a pawn shop first.
