For Bridgewater, he isn't getting much stronger and definitely not taller, so his presence inside will be limited. He was a big national recruit out of high school because he would just dominate people with his size.
He needs to establish a jump shot or some really slick inside moves to have a meaningful impact in the SEC... unless we just use him for a 5-10 minutes per game. But with Simmons & Blackeny coming in maybe we won't need him for more than that.

Yes you are correct most people do not grow that much after high school. But the "he isn't getting much stringer", do you have inside information about the LSU basketball strength program? Not trying to be a dick here, but another offseason under college workout plan will do him wonders, the question is what direction does CJJ see Bridge going in the future a slimmer defensive 3 that is still larger than most 3 guards to bully them around the basket, or gain more weight and strength and be a small utility forward. He was a big national recruit his freshmen year, but by his senior year, as the growth problem you alluded to caught up with him, as a 6'4-6'5 PF nah he was not highly recruited. You are correct with who Episcopal played, he scored whatever 25ppg-30 but college coaches do not care.

No one is asking or expecting him to play 15 minutes plus, we just need him for foul trouble and breathers before the time marks. He does not need "slick" moves he just needs to muscle smaller defenders. He could have the "slickest" moves in basketball but against 6'8 forwards in the SEC it wont matter, the size and length difference is too great.
I am sorry your comment about Mickey's "ceiling", that's just stupid. If you could define a shooting "ceiling" that would be awesome, or how can someone have a blocks ceiling? Yes he probably will never average more than 4-5 blocks per game but very ever have . Shot blocking is actually a skill, it is not purely athleticism. Yes the best shot blockers usually have great size, length, and athleticism. But you learn how to jump straight up which he does an excellent job of. His timing is also very good. Watch how he blocks shots, he will usually jump straight up and use his hands and swing over. That way if he misses he does not foul, or if the attacker changes the angle, that is just as good as a block. I think the stat was like some insane number like 12.4 ASPG, that a buddy did for a 3 game stretch.

I do not think anybody was ever expecting him to be a "beast". We just need somebody else to add that 6-10 min spark off the bench, near the end of the first half, or in foul trouble. That wont turn the ball over, and is not a liability on the defensive side of the ball.
I've been impressed with Malone in very limited minutes this year. He looks more stable on the offensive end of the floor and he's always had some offensive game due to his shooting. I wish he was more aggressive in the lanes and on the boards defensively though. He still has looked lost some on the defensive end of the games in his limited minutes, but I wouldn't mind seeing him get a crack at our rotation.

Love Malone offensively. Not as much defensively and rebounding wise. He blocks out, but ddoesn't attack the ball afterward. He can be good for team rebounding if guards attack the rim though cause he keeps opponents bigs away from rebounds.

I agree, I just think the European style of basketball, yes I know he is Australian, makes him look awkward on the floor. But you hit the nail on the head, SEC big men are mean, and if you are not aggressive it will not be good. But what is a positive, is that most of the big men in the SEC are not the big bulky forwards of old, the SEC has really adopted the long and lean bigs.
That is why I had high hopes for Big Ed before the year started, because at his size their may not be another guy in the SEC big enough to guard him one on one, but he just was not ready. People always wondered why did every single team double JOB3, it was not because he was that skilled, it was simply because of his size. Even Cauley-Stein and Noel could not guard him one on one, he would have had 30 and 15 against those poor guys.

These statements contradict each other.
Big Elbert is huge, and I promise you he wouldn't score 5 points on Cauley-Stein.
JOB was a very fundamentally sound player.
