Good grief.

These kids voluntarily decide to play (and, oh by the way, they get their college education paid for). They can quit at any time.

I recall an all-pro NFL player a few years ago, who had a massive contract, equated his situation (free agent status) to slavery. Just beyond belief, on all levels.

Your white guilt will not allow you to recognize my clear sarcasm.

If Saban were here, all of our NFL-caliber players would stay for their senior year.

You know absolutely nothing about the program if this is how you feel.

Nothing.

Actually, if Saban were here, Kip Holden would turn the Parade Grounds into a reflecting pool into which Les Miles would throw quarters and wish that his farts smelled like cinnamon rolls.

WTF to the OP.

"Their" not your boys or mine. They are not boys at all.

What is the solution to keep the WANT in their chest?

What you really mean is "how can we convince them to do what we want instead of what they want?"

Do we need to offer them new equipment and/or better study facilities?

Yeah because state of the art facilities, equipment, etc is what is making them leave early.

Players absolutely love/respect CLM.

That's not the problem.

you are a selfish a-hole. If they want to go, it is their decision.

They can always come back and finish their education. So we all know you are worried about their Education. You are just being a selfish prick because you want your football team to do good.

no way too unless we start paying them. everyone's situation is different and everyone has diff reasons on why they make the jump even knowing they wont be a pick in the 1st or 2nd round. Hell some jump knowing they prob wont be picked in the first 3 or 4

I don't have a problem with a player leaving early if he receives a high round grade from the NFL. What baffles me is why are the players leaving when they receive a stay in school grade? I realize they may be drafted but it will be at a low round. Or they could not be drafted at all. Another year could greatly benefit them. More money in the long term vs. little money in the short term. Surely the socioeconomics can wait one more year.

We have good study facilities for the SEC. LSU plays by the rules and players don't get much of anything.

You can go back and change it to a down vote, which I would do.
