i didn't say I would try this technique or nor do I support it. I simply shared the link and video and said that I thought it was a creative way to get around/thru a roadblock.

I was referring to your statement of driving drunk...

Hey, if you can get away with it, then good for you. That said, I honestly hope that you don't hurt yourself or someone else if you do it again

I'm in same boat in that I feel proud of the csbs I have in years past. But I am very pleased to see so many cabs around br and uber up and running in recent months. For me it's been a risk reward thing because affordable options weren't available. Now they are and I don't drink and drive nearly as often .

If you're not drunk, then just roll the window down, say hello, politely comply, then head on home.

Not the point, the point is the fact that you are stopped in the first place. A reminder to police that citizens do know their rights is not a bad idea.

Try that shite in Louisiana and you will get a unit following you home just waiting for your tire to touch the fog line....then guess what....?

"Please step out of the car, sir."

It's good to know the great state of Texas doesn't conduct dui checkpoints. Texas > Louisiana.

. If a bill was passed stating all fines from DUI's had to be sent to the state treasury, they would end with the quickness.

No, they would still do these Beirut style checkpoints because it's a way to get easy money from the Feds, who offers grants for DUI enforcement. The whole concept is to grab as much of that mobey as possible.

That's why there will be like 20 cops standing around doing nothing, all getting "overtime" pay whether it's really overtime or not.

That cop made the right call. He probably saw the 7 cameras mounted in and on the vehicle, coupled with that bag of instructions and said frick this.

My rights, my rights. yadda yadda yadda...I can't believe how people are such dicks when it comes to DUI checkpoints....if you aren't doing wrong what's the problem? just comply.

I can't wait until some of you lose family members to drunk drivers....trust me it's an awesome experience to see someone you know go through it.

Yeah, rights are stupid.

You mean people not giving reason to be suspicious of breaking the law, and still getting pulled over due to a police state?

Can I search your wife's anus for drugs? If she's got nothing to hide..

The cops probably get guys like this nearly every checkpoint in an urban area.

They recognized a guy who had 4 cameras recording the cops daring for them to bitch and just waved them through.

I wonder what this guy's reaction would be to a probable cause argument because he is putting so much effort to avoid the stop.

Who the frick has their license and registration dangling out of their car on a string?

The real question is what would have happened if they had the same set up, no obvious cameras in car, but recording from a tail vehicle.
