The Noles did put up 530+ yards of offense.

WSU put up 499 and only lost by 7. This statement means as much as yours.

Marcus is a game changer for them, if he wasn't on Oregon the Ducks might have been a middle of the road Pac 12 team this year.

Wow.... , Oregon would have played for the pac 12 title but wouldn't have gone as far as MM has taken them. Lets not discount, you can try, the stability at Oregon, great coaching and the other athletes that are littered on the roster.

Oregon hasn't had a problem at QB since the early 90's. Some have been better than others but the QB position hasn't been a problem in a long time.

I see what you're saying but I wont forget thr frustrations of 2002 with Jason Fife, before Kellen Clemens replaced him and then Gary Crowton basically quit on Dennis Dixon in 2006 (think Brady Leaf). Dixon wasnt great until his senior 2007 season, Chip's first season as our OC.

Our run defense was pretty poor early on this season. The Arizona game stands out. But they have since cleaned their issues up and are back to attacking and not missing tackles. I think a lot of it may have been adjusting to Pellum as our new DC.

This is a good point.

Oregon has some great continuity going all the way back to Rich Brooks, the last head coach Oregon hired from without. Every coach since Brooks (hired way back in 1977) has been promoted from OC to Head Coach.

The Ducks have come a long, long way since 1977. Obviously Phil Knight and Nike play a huge role. But they are rare in the relative stability the program has had for decades at the head coach position.

They've found their niche and stuck with it. I'm a fan of their in state rival but I have tremendous respect for what they've accomplished.
