Why does Kirby Smart get a pass? Ezekiel was running like he stole something.
From the little of the Saban press conference I saw, the defense WAS his main criticism.

Lane Kiffin needs to apologize to all the Bama fans. IT IS HIS FAULT AND NOTHING WILL CHANGE MY MIND ABOUT IT.

Sims did not help. He was horrible. 3 interceptions and only had like 135 yards before those last two drives.

You can Blame him for bad time management , and not having two plays call at the same time , but most of the fault lies on Bama defense that was playing zone for what ever reason .

I love a world where your offense puts up 35 against a team that just shut out Wisconsin in the Big 10 title game and yet it's your fault. Hmmm... Why do people refuse to place any blame on Saban
That isn't the point though.

Saban kind of took blame, but it was the "top down" narrative.

Easily Saban is that type and someone will fall on the sword. Saban's cred as a HC is still top notch.

There has been no more puzzling sports story I can remember than the D sucking of Lane Kiffin this year. Against what were probably the three best defenses bama faced they failed to score more than 14 points offensive points in regulation in any of those games.

In the previous 5 years it had happened twice.

They weren't great against Miss St either.

Kiffin blows.

Me and my buddy were discussing how Cooper wasn't getting thrown to on the final drive, and how he was on the opposite side of the hail Mary, rendering him useless.

Then I had a scary thought, wasn't Kiffin the OC at USC when Bush was on the sideline on that final play against Texas in 05?

Does he not care to use his best players in the most critical of situations?

They run the ball after the terrible punt and they win. Play calling was miserable.

There was no one within 10 yards of the receiver over the middle. Sims threw to the wrong guy.

Saban got outcoached in a big way. His defenses have always shite the bed against the read option

If it's LSU it's Les's fault. But if it is AL it is the OC's fault.

Makes sense.
