Although I do think he's missing out on a lot of money by not coming back, you do know that a lot of players come back either during the offseason or after their career to finish their degree?

Do you know how difficult that is after getting cut from an NFL team and taking a job in a call center for $40k a year?

Our fans are know it all douchebots too often. How about we say this..."Thank you Kwon. You were one of the best, most consistent parts of our conference leading defense this year. Best of luck to you."

Best of luck to him, but none of our jr's are NFL ready.

Kwon will never be. He was at the top of his talent as a starter in the SEC. Some kids just don't get much bigger in college, he is one of them.

He will NOT make an NFL roster. You CANNOT hide a 225 lb linebacker in the nfl.

Dumb move....period. if he comes back and puts on another 10 and keeps his speed, different story. But he needs to show that in college. They won't take a chance on him. FA all the way!

This kind of has Trev Faulk written all over it.

Took the words out of my mouth.

Apparently you are too young to remember Trev Faulk. Dude was lights out at LSU, making double digit tackles.....left early, never heard from again.

I thought trev had grade issues and wasn't sure if he could keep himself eligible.

Bradie James was always going to be a better pro prospect, but one more dominant year from Trev would have at least got him drafted and a real contract. His skill set reminds me a lot of Kwon. I think Kwon's instincts and game speed is a little better than Trev. Trev was a dawg though!

Why? Because some guys just aren't going to rise up a draft board. Kwon may be at his peak right now and another year won't help him but an injury would hurt him. People need to face it, some of these guys who leave are at their peak draft stock and another year just won't help.
Ben Wilkerson came back his senior year blew out his knee went undrafted, made some money and came back and is now coaching. So coming back doesn't always "help" the player, it may help the program but these kids need to do what's best for him. If he goes 7th round and bounces around for 3-5 years if he is smart he clears close to a million and can come back and be set up with a decent job.

I don't think that Kwon's parents were ever really happy he was at LSU. I sat near them at a few games and there was a ton of negativity toward the coaching staff. They left at halftime of one game because they were so pissed and his dad wanted to watch Bama play. Of course, that's not to say Kwon was unhappy at LSU but I could see how that could grind on him.

His 40 killed him. I thought it was 4.78 or something. That did not really shock me, but he wasn't big enough to afford that, I agree.

His HC and position coach just walked out the door. A draft elligible player probably is not too interested in hanging around on the hope that we get a decent DC and that guy knows how to use him. Chavis liked little LBs - not everyone does.

"He'll end up some where. Kwon has been a bright spot since his freshmen season"

??????? Flipping burgers or hanging out on the rough streets back home. He best befriend some local businessmen because he will not make a living playing football. Only .5 do after college.

His HC and position coach just walked out the door..... Agree, this seemed to be a sudden decision on his part... I never seen nor read anything about Kwon leaving for the NFL until word got out about Chavis leaving and after the loss to ND... Could have some merit... And after inquiring his grade status for the NFL To stay in school, he's still electing to proceed with the NFL draft.... Good luck to Kwon in his future... Wish we had another 5 or 10 Kwons on this team....

Didn't he graduate early and already have his bachelors degree?

He also made NFL rosters so it wasn't a complete failure, seems like some are leaving early now that don't even make rosters.

Is declaring for the draft binding if he never talks to an agent or sign paperwork, or is it a done deal ? Seems like a knee jerk reaction on his part.

They deadline is Jan 15. As long as he doesn't get an agent before that date, he can decide to come back. I thought he was gone already, but this might be a knee jerk reaction from him.
