WTF - Why postpose the protests if they had NO relation to the murders?

Why is Blasio now asking to postpone the protests? The reigning meme is that they are entirely irrelevant to the actions of some random mentally disturbed individual.
IF the protesters have a legitimate gripe why is their freedom of speech being curtailed?
This doesn't make sense.
Either the protests area related or they are not.
Why doesn't Blasio recommend stopping Christmas sales until after the funerals? They are unrelated too.
To me this is clear admission that they know they have stepped in a big ol pile of hot dog shite.

No reasonable person can associate the two events, but de Blasio is in CYA mode because of the public pissing match with the police union. He could have made much more of an impact by altering the tone of his public comments following Garner death and non-indictment.

Those who persist in connecting politics to two murders are just as sick in the head as those who connected Palin to Giffords.

That would be his hand. You can't associate the actions of his hand with him. They are totally unrelated.

Kill that go over there.
Kill him.
Go ahead, you heard me.
*Man is killed.
Wait. Somebody killed that guy?
Who said anything about killing a guy?
You suck for pointing out that we said to kill that guy.
That guy getting killed had nothing to do with anything I said.
Wow those guys are batshit crazy for remembering when we said to kill that guy, huh?

FFS no.
I don't blame politics or protests for the murders, but they're at least on the same subject.
The Gifford shooting had nothing, at all, to do with Palin. It was a false report.

But keep grasping at straws. This must be like an early Christmas for you and some others on this board.

I know. But I think blaming someone and a subject totally unrelated is more dangerous than blaming the subject that was legitimately related to the incident in question, hence my focus on the accurate portrayal of Gifford.

Is this the part of the thread where liberals pretend they don't know the difference between being PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE (pulling the trigger) for something and HAVING MORALLY CUPABABILITY (What do we want? Dead Cops! When do we want it? Now!)?
Moral Complicity means moral complicity.
It doesn't mean personal responsibility.
(REALLY SHITTY METAPHOR ALERT)---I am morally COMPLICIT for spreading shitty music because I have a disco ball and Bee Gees LP in my living room. I'm not PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE for the Bee Gees.

I think he shares in the responsibility.
when I first heard the "What do we want = DEAD COPS" chants I said to my wife = "some idiot is going to kill a cop if they don't put a stop to this NOW."
Well, Blasio didn't say one word about that atrocity - in fact he continue to fuel the fire of the protests = that the police dept needed "retraining" to prevent such events.
Blasio never did one thing to damp the intensity of the protests. He never did one thing to support HIS police dept who were out enforcing HIS statutes. He never did one thing to address the underlying misrepresentations on the protests - in fact he embraced the misrepresentations. He never did one thing to support the Grand Jury process - a process that is the backbone of our justice system.
In fact he could have done a lot to PREVENT this situation from becoming such a outrageous pit of hatred for policemen in general.
He is the mayor of the city. He is the head of the police dept. He could have done a LOT to nip this crap in the bud. to the extent that he not only did nothing to put ut the fire, but actually fanned the flames, yes - he shares responsibility for the fire getting totally out of control.

So basically you're saying this is the same as when the couple left the riot in Nevada and gunned down two cops?

Right, this much, much more like the tea party being morally culpable for the murders of the cops in Nevada.

Ummm....
You might want to check in with the family of Officer Ramos.
Because I just heard his Aunt call Mayor De Blasio "disgraceful".
