From Forbes:

he home has eight bedrooms and 15 bathrooms all equipped with Toto Neorest toilets at a price of $5,600 each.

"Cases of Dom Perignon were part of the deal."

According to a press release from John Aaroe Group, which repped Persson in the deal, this is the highest price ever paid for a house in Beverly Hills and the sale closed in a very speedy six days. Persson took every last bananas thing in the house, "from luxury furnishings to exotic electronics," to the towers of M&Ms, giant grenade art, the replica of James Dean's motorcycle, the 18-foot onyx dining room table ("that includes place settings by Roberto Cavalli at a cost of $3,700 each"), and three "high-definition 90-inch television screens [that] bring panoramic views of Los Angeles from the roof into the down stairs lounge."
From Forbes:

The 23,000-square-foot, Contemporary-style home, with a wall of glass that provides a 280-degree view of the City of Angels and the Pacific Ocean below, triggered a bidding war between four buyers. Persson quickly decided he wanted the home, paid all cash, and closed in six days, according to the agents who sold him the property.

The estate was a speculative (or “spec”) home, built without a committed buyer by QVC handbag-seller and Los Angeles home developer Bruce Makowsky, who listed the home for $85 million in September. It comes completely furnished—from Hermès chairs and throws, to Roberto Cavalli sheets, to 24 Cavalli-designed $3,700-per place settings, to a one-of-a-kind living room set designed by Bentley, according to the agents who brokered the deal. “I provided eight OralB 3D Braun toothbrushes,” said Branden Williams, the Hilton & Hyland agent who listed the home. “I’m tired of the line ‘Just bring your toothbrush.’”

One of the more impressive features of the home is a car lift, which moves cars to underground storage. Inside the home is an image of James Dean and a replica of his famed motorcycle; the home also comes with a chromed Ma Deuce machine gun. A candy room features large M&M’s character sculptures; there is a bar and the home sale includes some cases of Dom Perignon. In addition to the ubiquitous Los Angeles infinity pool, this estate also boasts a large hot tub that Williams refers to as the “poolcuzzi.” There is an 18-seat home theater and three high-definition 90-inch television screens. The home has eight bedrooms and 15 bathrooms, each bath equipped with a Toto Neorest toilet (which cost $5,600 per unit, according to the press release).

My country roots would rather live in a $200k home than that modern, soulless box.

I feel like you gotta respect a dude who creates an 8bit game in 2011 and can afford a $70M house..

Did he get his teeth fixed yet?

I'm envious, yes. I wish I had $70 million to spend on a home.

Notch deserves every penny. I hope he is happy with his decision to sell Mojang, and I hope he continues to do what he loves (coding and gaming).
The game is awesome. Can't tell you how many countless hours my kids, my niece and I have spent playing together.

towers of M&Ms
This has been my life-long "I'm finally an OT baller" dream...
Since I was a kid I wanted a giant M&M dispenser and a tapped keg of Sam Adam's Cream Stout in my LSU man cave.

I need to start inventing stupid shite targeted at kids.

There was an M and M display at a convenience store with a giant M and M character in heavy plastic. I asked the Clerk if anyone ever tried to buy it, and he said "all the time ... some guy offered the store owner $1500."

Also I can't tell you how nice it is my kid plays that vs some of the other shite crap games with loud crap music.
As a parent, love me some Minecraft... nostalgia and wholesomeness both.

That's the house from GTA V
Posted on 12/19/14 at 12:15 pm to Meauxjeaux
That looks a lot like Tony Stark's house from Iron Man.

This is only true if you don't count Holmby Hills as a part of Beverly Hills
