So far it seems he's just an ogre standing on the court...
He gets bullied down low, has zero ball skills, and is slow at everything. Consider me disappointed

He's a necessary evil. It's like buying tires. Everyone hates having to buy tires. It's not a flashy purchase. But it just might get you to work or save your life

I aint disappointed but we need a better or 2nd center to up the offensive production. At least until AD gets over his passiveness. Agree with your description of Asik tho.

I haven't watched enough to have an informed opinion but so far I consider him one of the most frustrating guys in the entire league to watch.

He's arguably a bigger retard/spaz than Aminu.

He's clearly great at doing exactly what everyone expected him to do.

Look at AD's numbers, then think if he had to play center. Now give Asik a high-5 and say keep playing hard.

Everyone is ok with Asik because everyone knew what to expect from him. He's the Turkish Greg Ostertag. We needed that based on the other parts on our team. He has done a good job furnishing those skills.

Omer Asik is averaging: 3.8oreb/6.9dreb/10.7treb; 15.4 OREB%/29.4 DREB%/22.3 TRB%; 27.1MPG

Top centers that are offensively inept:
1. DeAndre Jordan: 3.9oreb/9.2dreb/13.0treb; 14.2 OREB%/31.9 DREB%/23.3 TRB%; 33.5MPG

2. Andre Drummond: 4.6oreb/7.8dreb/12.3treb; 15.6 OREB%/28.8 DREB%/22.0 TRB%; 30.3MPG

3. Tyson Chandler: 4.1oreb/7.4dreb/11.5treb; 15.9 OREB%/28.1 DREB%/22.0 TRB%; 29.7MPG

4. Andrew Bogut: 2.4oreb/6.9dreb/9.3treb; 10.9 OREB%/27.4 DREB%/19.6 TRB%; 25.2MPG

So really, for what Omer Asik is, compared to 4 other "big name/defensive" centers that are in his tier, he's actually right there with them. Of those 5, he's 2nd or 3rd in rebounding category. Solid interior defender as well, good with me.

Last night Dwight Howard had 17 pts and 13 rebs in 35 minutes.

Looks like he had:
In 24.5ish minutes with Asik on the floor he had 10 pts and 7 rebs.

In the 10.5ish minutes without Asik on the floor he had 7 pts and 6 rebs.

Harden and Howard also combine for 19.6 free throw attempts per game. Last night they combined for 10.
