Giving rational reasons and pointing out that you need the whole story is not in anyway making excuses. You wanted to just automatically blame the officer for every short clip of a officer "doing wrong" is right? I guess I should simplify my answers for you.

A more appropriate shirt would have been "Gun out! Don't charge!"

You and your fellow blind cop defenders do a little more than this.

So much stupid here it is unbelievable.

Of coarse he has the right to sell whatever shirt he so chooses. No one can or will force him to stop his side business The State can and should make him a full time tshirt vendor though. What he lacks is the right to remain employed as a impartial public servant and sell the shirts at the same time.

Somehow trying to equate college students attire to the actions of a law enforcement officer employed by the state is

What you folks failed to mention, or just trying to deliberately not mention it, is the thug culture has been putting out cop killer t-shirts and songs long before cops started putting out t-shirts. Even glamorizing killing of cops and innocent folks who help the cops or as thug culture calls them, snitches. So before you point the finger at out if control cops let's see how it came to be this way and let's ask ourselves why is it more prevalent, "out of control cops", in the black community then it is in any other community.

They must or is it reading comprehension?

Are the blind cop defenders any different than the blind cop haters like you?

BOOM. Truth.

You call someone stupid and you don't even realize that the officer works for a city, not the state.

How in your mind does it make it OK for public servants to engage in such behavior?

And it occurs in other communities, too. Sadly (or happily depending on your POV) bad cops don't see color, age, religion as a barrier to treating people like shite.

In the case regarding this t-shirt that is exactly the point. The fact that almost every rebuttal to this t-shirt involved another incident is very telling.

This doesn't make sense.

cwill, go ride in a NOPD unit for a wk & see what changes that makes to your attitude. You have NO idea what officers are subjected to, AND have to put up with nowadays. Sure, there are bad cops; because they are all human. But I'll take my chances with a NOPD officer. You should just call up the nearest POS and ask for his help the next time shite happens.

Hawkeye, you go with Al Sharpton's perspective on cops & I'll stick with the reality of what the numbers of good cops actually are.

Go ride with a street kid for a week and see what they go through and maybe you'll have a different opinion of how and why they act and react the way they do.

None of that changes anything.

Cops have rules to follow and aren't allowed a freebie beat down or shooting because they had a bad day.

I love the ad hom attacks against anyone that doesn't think cops are the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Wait..the same NOPD who was just busted for literally ignoring thousands of sexual assault cases, especially those dealing with minors? And just so we're clear, these involved the forced rapes of juveniles, so don't try and spin this with the UVA hoax angle. Yea, they are subjected to soooo much. I'm grateful for the minority of NOPD officers that take their job seriously, but I think 60% of them cant be bothered to take their jobs seriously.
