The Development of one Brandon Harris

Gents, I know we're all frustrated with the perceived, possible reality, of the coaching staff's inability to develop a strong starting QB. I'm going to take a different approach and say that maybe, just maybe, it's the kids. I sit in the North End Zone on game days and if you're there early enough, which i usually am, you get the pleasure of watching CC go through the QB warm ups with the players. Now, I've done my due diligence in watching closely to exactly where CC is during these drills and I can tell you, it's usually right next Brandon Harris. He watches every pass, every step, every arm motion the kid makes. And many times gives some kind of instruction right after the pass. Now obviously I have no idea what he's telling him, but i like to think that if it's this way in pre-game warmups, how do you think it is at practice?
I say all of this to conclude with another statement. If CC is spending this much time trying to coach the kid up, maybe it's just the kid not absorbing what he needs to. It's apparent that Cam is putting in the time to teach the kid, so what else is there?

Brandon Harris isn't playing bc of attitude and off the field related circumstances

Sorry ... not possible. Doesn't fit the agenda of the anti-Miles group.

He's 19 why do you keep calling him a kid? Do you feel the same way about men his age fighting in the military? Just a bunch of kids?

Kid based on maturity. Better?

I just hope he lives up to his potential.

In the end, the best thing for both LSU & Brandon Harris, will be the influence of Cam Cameron.

I see it VERY differently than you do. If he's spending that much time trying to coach the kid up, why is he not with Jennings? It's probably because Harris, while not ready yet, is the future.

Harris and Cam are close. Cam recruited Harris hard and he's the reason Harris came to LSU.
So all of a sudden an OC giving attention to a freshman QB during warmups is a negative? We really have some retarded arse fans.

Uh, I sure do. How old are you?

Id think that he really should have been with Jennings. The bowl game will tell the tell. I just hope that Jennings can complete more than 13 passes

No dumbass, it's a positive. It means he is investing the time in developing Harris and NOT Jennings. The assumption I had is that Jennings is just filler for when Harris is going to be ready, which is pretty freakin' soon.
Otherwise he'd be developing Jennings instead?

I don't think anyone on this board would disagree that he's the future. Jennings has the head, he just doesn't have the talent. My point is, that it's not Cam's fault the KID isn't ready to play. He has to take to what he's being taught. Jennings obviously takes to it, he's just not there physically. And by physically I mean arm strength. A lot of Jennings reads aren't the wrong ones. He just doesn't have the zip on the ball to get it where it needs to be for timing routes. Harris, on the other hand, has all the physical tools but doesn't seem to be absorbing what Cam is trying to hammer into his head.

LM and CC don't give a damn about his arm strength and athleticism if he can't learn the plays and effectively run the offense in an SEC game. Why do yall think he didn't play after the Auburn game?
Occams Razor people. The simplest explanation is usually the correct one. It aint Rocket Science.....

Agree TheDrunkenTigah. I don't care if it is Alexander the Great, Hannibal, Napoleon, Robert E Lee, George Patton, or Rommel at 19 you are a kid.
I have great respect for the kids fighting in our military, but they are still boys to me.

Sorry, but I don't buy this for a second. You don't take away your attention from the starter to tutor your protege during the season when facing game day preparation.

But many on this board think that Miles doesn't see him as the future
I agree, and I meant Dumbass in the most brotherly of definitions.
What I have seen from Harris is:
Make your first read, if Dural isn't open, dump it to the fullback.
When he can get through 3 progressions he will be a killer on the field (not off the field like Janzen Jackson)
