Burger and fries at chilis= $9
Burger and fries at Cowbell, which is arguably the best burger in New Orleans= $14
How is that considered overpriced?

Is that the one with the sauce? Whatever it's called? Bud's sauce or something? Been about 6 years since I've had one. I don't think I was wasted enough to enjoy it.
Next time you are out late masquerading around town stop at the 24hr Buds for some grub on the way home.

Cowbell has my favorite burger in the city and is one of my favorite restaurants.

Love Cowbell. Definitely a top
3 burger in the city. And it's not cheap but at least it delivers consistently delicious food.

Yeah, no.
Mid-tier burger.
I wouldn't call it mid-tier but it's definitely not priced as SPORTSGUY suggests…it's very hard to get out of Company with a Burger and Fries for under $15.
The best "value" is Truburger…people on here don't like it, but both times I went I thought it was great…plus burger, fries and an additional topping like bacon, you are still out of the place under $10.

My exact sentiments. Really love the burger. But the price keeps me from eating there more frequently.

he got the honorable mention... he lost to the chef (i believe) of Emeril's NOLA.

Safe to say we can add Cowbell to the F&DB's list of places that can do no wrong?

I thought Cowbell was alright. Definitely upper tier burger. I felt conned on the mac and cheese however. The waitress played it up, but it ended up just being run of the mill mac and cheese that was $9.

Anybody else catch the Chopped show last night with the owner / chef competing from this place?
I'll bite. Did you dream up this tv appearance or was this an older episode?
I'm watching last night's Chopped, and I don't see the chef.....
For the record I still love Cowbell.

Not in New Orleans, but the best value for a burger is the Ida Burger in Port Allen at the River Queen Drive-Inn. It's under $4.00 for a massive burger that's pretty damn good. Just a simple classic burger. Few things hit the spot after a 12 hour shift in the plant like that.

Nah, just an STA coonass working in a plant while living in BR and masquerading as a hipster in his spare time (which is never because he works in a plant all the time)
Have you tried the kolaches? Theirs are legit, and I try to get them whenever I'm not running late for work at 5 in the morning.

I definitely think that the burgers at Cowbell are better than Company Burger.
