Surprised it took this long to see this post make its way to the PTB.

No issue with it...Cold War is over and Cuba is an after thought now.

I assume that's true but I don't see it saying that in the link you provided.

I'm the first to criticize our gov't and leaders, but I also applaud them when the right thing is done.

Great day for freedom. Helping plan a bachelor party in KW this May. Hopefully can talk the guys into making that trip a little further south to the vintage land of classic cars and Cuban cigars.

There's enough transplanted NE Jews in Florida to counter the lost Dem votes from the pissed off Cubans.

There should never have been an embargo in the first place.

They should have lifted the embargo years ago.

So, we're basically going to fund their policies instead of trying to choke them to death. I suppose the latter was never going to work due to their agricultural self-sustainability and the fact that they are too drunk and browbeaten to topple the government, but to think that this policy will defeat their communist policies is ignorant at best. If anything, we are helping it prosper.

Basically, we are Cuba's new sugar daddy. It will be interesting to see how Fontova reacts to this, as well as the exiles still living in Miami.

And those cars have about as many original parts as Joan Rivers. Good luck with that.

Good move. No reason to have an embargo at this time.
