I guess Charlie B's in Missoula, MT but I quit going to bars about a year ago (my Cheers since 2002 was Fontaine's in Atl) except for when I'm on the road/vacation/special occasions (or my favorite ski-hill bar in the world--the Last Run Inn at Snowbowl in MT, but that doesn't count really.)
You outgrow the non-depressing people, and the people your age and older become depressing. Such is life. If I still lived in New Orleans it might be different. Also, we still go to restaurant/bars and drink, but the pure bar scene is a thing of the past, and I've never been a clubber.
I do plan to join or start a motorcycle club soon, so this may all change. But it'll be my own club and not a biker bar.

The only place I'll go of my own accord on Bourbon these days. Spent many a special occasion there.

Mayfair
We used to take over the back pool table/jukebox room before they remodeled (reconfigured the space w the Chinese restaurant or whatever they did to it). It lost its magic for me after that. Great bar. Ms Gurty?
I liked Butler's too. There was an old Schlitz ad on the wall with a couple playing backgammon who looked just like my ex and me.
Snake n Jakes is always interesting. I could never choose even a top-5 or even 10 in N.O.

Da fuq? Your favorite bar is some cookie cutter franchise? That is lame as shite.

Ms. Gurtie still owns it. It isn't connected to the Chinese place at all.
Walk in
Pool Table
Poker machines, touch tunes, bar, atm, and cig machine to the right
Straight back is the second pool table and bathrooms
Still $5 double jack and coke and $6 crown, and they are the strongest drinks around

Mayfair is a great bar.

Yeah there used to be the one pool table right by the door then you walk past the bar and there was a whole other room back there w two more tables and jukebox. There was a pass-through service window where you could order drinks back there. Then they closed that (whatever was next door took that space) and made the little pool table room in the front. Some crazy shite used to happen in the back room....

Mid-city Yacht club needs to be mentioned

Didn't read. I'm guessing all the freaks on the OT said Snake and Jakes.
