She keeping it? How long you been together?

Start picking up extra hrs now. Does she have health insurance? Her and the kid can prob get on Medicaid, wic, etc as I assume she has no income.

Do either of yall have family that can help?

Yall are not kids, you can do it. Law school has hours like a job and tons of women have jobs while raising a kid. When she due? If during a semester she might have to talk to the school about how to handle that.

Also if she not maxing out student loans, you can always borrow more. Unless she on a scholly she's prob gonna borrow 200k, what's a little more ?!?!

Yes, 3-5 days. Just curious if they were risking it or if they were legitimately using protection.

I can't imagine the school giving her any flack. If she survives law school while raising a child, she's got a hell of a story to tell. But don't kid yourself. This will be very, very hard on you and her.

When is she due? If it's over the summer that could work nicely if she wants to continue pursuing her law degree.

People go back to school all the time when they're older with families and such. Yall can find a way to make it work.

I always wonder how people get knocked up since there's only a 24ish hour window that a woman ovulates. Were yall not using protection?

Not long. We've been together since September.

She's due in early August, so that will be the case.

It's important to me that she's able to finish school now. She's always wanted to be a lawyer and I don't want this to be the thing that stops her from achieving her dream.

Getting married and having kids is the most rewarding thing most of us ever do. Doing it young is cool.
But just stay positive about it. Man up, grow up. Focusing on yourself and trying to have many conquests is a barren way to live. Jump in brother! And get your spiritual life together. You will need it. But it is all good.

I remember when my wife and I first had our kid, we couldn't even catch a break to take a shower much less trying to do well in a professional program.

Yes, this won't be a problem.

Neither of us comes from a family that struggles to get by.

She has scholarships that cover practically all of her tuition expenses. We are very, very lucky in that regard.

Yup. She moved to NOLA at the end of July, myself at the end of August.
