How are you gonna pay for a kid AND school. I don't even want to think of those loans. Jesus. Prayers.

As a 1L right now going through finals, all I can say is good luck. Law school is more than a 40hr/week job (in order to do well), as I'm sure you know. Is it possible sure, but it's going to put a lot of strain on your relationship, so be ready for it. I'm married, so we would find a way to make it work, but damn it would suck.

It's possible to manage. My wife and I planned out a kid while she was in pharmacy school. She was born in June so the birth didn't interfere with school

Seems pretty horrible, I'm just paying my wife's professional school tuition and it's pretty terrible. We could swing it, because our "entertainment" budget would greatly decrease if we had a kid, but life would suck

Well she's already made one idiotic decision by going to law school, so why not keep the good vibes going

I've seen trannies on Loyola's undergrad campus. I don't think you have much to worry about there.

Popped out a kid before you could have fun with that pharmacy school money

o my girlfriend is in her 1st year of law school and the news was dropped on me this week that she is pregnant. Has anyone had experience where they or their significant other went through school while pregnant and or raising a young child? Any advice.

Also, there were two girls in my law school class that were pregnant and had kids while in law school. Both were on law review or finished with stellar grades.

Dude it's a law school, you really think a place run by really smart attorneys would risk setting themselves up for a potential lawsuit?

Another thing, this is going to be incredibly difficult for your wife. No way she can commit the time she needs to commit if she really wants to do well while dealing with a pregnancy. If the due date is over the summer then maybe it will work, but that also means she won't be able to clerk somewhere.

If she wants to do it, she'll make it.

My Dad worked days and went to college and law school at night for six years on the GI Bill after WWII. By the time he was finished, me and two of my four siblings were born.

Good luck.
