They should add Lafayette teams to this, Cathedral-Carmel would win every year

Great thread. Brings back tons of memories. Hell, friends in high school are made from shite talking about this very topic.

St Jude Cougar checking in. Used to dominate with half the amount of kids that sgs, Aloysius, and stm had

Definition of intimidating your opponents in the late 90's:

Sitting in the stands during the 7th grade game in your warm ups and discman with your CD case full of no limit cds mean mugging EVERYBODY

Mercy won the Sacred Heart tourney - May be time to update the power rankings. Ari is on a mission!

Mercy beat SJS by close to 20 in the semifinals at Sacred Heart. St. Jude beat STM by the same. Finals were very physical and sloppy but extremely intense and Mercy won with a shot at the buzzer by one. St. Jude was without their stud big man but it seemed they actually played faster without him. Not sure why he was hurt. I did speak to Coach Fisher after the game and he was disappointed they did not play St. Jude at full strength. The crowd was loud and both teams played like it was the city championship game and not a beginning of the season tournament.

Also I found out from a relative that University beat SJS by 20+. SJS could not even get the ball past half court against the press until the last minute or two of the first quarter according to my source. LOL.

It should be a good year in CSAL and I am looking forward to the rest of the games.

It's weird not to see STM at the top of everything. '96 team crushed everyone. Their CYO team(s) could have taken down some CSAL teams.
