A huge Thanksgiving holiday story for the OT

Bash away all you want.I can take it
Was traveling to the inlaws with my daughter in the truck on Thanksgiving day.Wife and son were already there. Anyway as we're traveling down the road i spot a dodge durango with a uhaul trailer in the parking lot of Advanced Auto parts. Also notice 4 very young kids kicking a ball around the parking lot.I caught a peek of the drivers rear tire off the truck and knew there was a problem.
Took my daughter to the inlaws house and told the wife i'm going back to see if they need help.
I pull up and the guy is under the back of the vehicle with just a rickety jack holding it up,trailer still attached to the hitch. I ask what's broken and he looks at me and says a broken brake line. Say's they've been stranded since Tuesday and were trying to get to Orlando. Says he's running out of time because the store was closing at 2:00 and he's waiting on relatives to wire him money for parts.
I bought him the brake line he needed, some brake fluid and some jack stands(i needed some new ones anyway)
Anyway. we fix that brake line and another one breaks. Fix that one and another breaks. spent 3 hours out there fixing rusted brake lines and finally got it going. All greasy, sweaty, brake fluid in hair they depart with a full tank of gas and $50 in cash.
My paypal account just got hit with $250 from him and a pretty damn awesome text message that i'll post later.
I just couldn't leave them out there on Thanksgiving with those kids like that.

It was smart to take a pic of their rig in case they fricked you.
In hindsight, that would have made a better thread then this fuzzy feel good bull shite.

They must have been black - I can tell because the kids are wearing hoodies.
Just kidding - you did the right thing.
You could have at least bought them a round of butterfly shrimp for $14.99.

If you were truly a good guy you wouldn't post this story online seeking internet praise.
