The nice thing about a Lexus is when you take it to a shop, they say, "oh, thats just like Toyota" in regards to the repair job itself. Don't hear that with BMW and Mercedes in terms of ease of repair. Meaning mechanics aren't as familiar with them, hence more expensive.

My wife and I have owned alll but the Porsche, Mercedes and Cadillac. Immediate family has those three covered though.

My dad drives an A7, and it is the best car for driving on long trips. It has displays that show through the windshield (technology is taken from planes). The cruise control adjusts based on cars in front of you, and you can even adjust how much space you prefer between you and other cars. Sensors are everywhere. I don't know how someone could get in an accident that was their fault with that car.

Wife had a Q7 for a few years. Kids where rough on it and maintenance was a bitch. It gets really expensive after the first few years. Switched to and Enclave and have been way more satisfied.

I should have looked into leasing more than I did for my Mercedes. I'll get an extended warranty just because I am risk averse but I don't want to have it more than 60-70k miles. I'll keep it for 5-6 years and then pass it on.
In terms of finishes, I'll put the new c300 against anything in its class. Top notch.
Look at Alex on Autos on YouTube for he best car reviews on the Internet.

MMI system in the Audi is regarded as the best in the luxury segment fwiw

This right here. If you only plan on keeping it a few years, then it probably won't matter... But Lexus is head and shoulders above Audi in reliability, but the Audis look better.

It might not seem like it, but you'll be old enough drive one day.
You'll still be a count though.

Every Lexus I've driven has been incredibly boring. I've driven most of them except for the LFA of course. Now, that's supposed to be a bad arse machine. From a driving experience standpoint, the Audi is much better than the Infinti and Lexus models.
Did someone in this thread actually say Porsche and Infiniti are comparable??

This. Take it from someone who bought an Infiniti yesterday.

I would take either Lexus or Infiniti over Audi. I've never owned an Audi but I've owned Bmw,Lexus, infinity and the Japanese cars were better.

If you get an Audi make sure you get as long an extended warranty as possible if you plan to keep the car. Audi has an proprietary computer system that only dealers can link to.

So does an average rental Chevrolet Camaro.
General statement here, if you can find it new at a Lexus dealership, buy it.
WIN

Slightly better than Infiniti, Lexus, or Cadillac
Much better than Buick, Acura, or Lincoln
I think all of the above may be more reliable and less of a hassle to own though. I think Audi may be the more problematic of the German brands.

I like Audi's designs a lot. I've driven a few and I'm not a fan of their handling on the non S models. It's very loose feeling, my mustang was just as bad. In comparison BMW's have a very tight feeling which I like a lot better.
Audis Matrix LED Headlights are pretty fricking ridiculous. I drove on some backroads around my house and you could see literally everything. It was comparable to a light bar on a truck.
Also, lease it.
