yeah, down to the 1 yard line.
look both QB's were bad in that game, but the defense gave up FORTY ONE POINTS

I don't know anything about the young man's attitude, but if any of that is true, it shows that our coaches know what they are doing
Maybe it shows our coaches are willing to allow a sinking ship to take down the crew and the passengers. What's wrong with pulling him aside and telling him he has to do more to lead this team. Jennings had Mett to learn from. Harris came in competing against Jennings so he's not going to learn from him. Jennings got to watch how it's done whereas Harris has to figure it out.
Somethings should be evident if you're competing against someone else though. Never let that person out work you. But maybe he never had to do that before.

All I'm saying is we currently don't have a good qb on our roster. Hopefully one or both of them develops into the position, but to act like Harris is head and shoulders above AJ is asinine.

Sometimes you've got a young guy who has a ton of potential and you want to promote him but he just doesn't put in the extra effort. But when you finally do promote him he realizes he's the guy and steps up to the responsibility of the position
Here is what kills me about this, maybe Harris is motivated differently than Jennings and the coaching staff needs to understand his mental makeup. People are wired differently and do not always work the same and expecting them to is setting them up for failure.
We hear all offseason about Harris working with receivers and going to various camps, and now this rumor that he does not work? Makes no sense to me.
This is yet another square peg/round hole situation that Miles is famous for. He constantly tries to make his players fit a mold that not all of them fit in and flat our refuses to showcase their strengths. Now, the flipside of this is to be too predictable with personnel packages, but you cannot expect everyone to work in exactly the same way. Some kids are just different and if you don't want to work with them, then don't fricking recruit them.

"people close to the program/in the building" say:
Harris leaves as soon as practice is done, AJ stays and works with film/receivers
Harris hasn't worked to learn the playbook
If this is true, I wonder if the coaches said, "Hey Brandon, we would like to start you, but we want to see you stay after practices and put in the time in the film room and work with the receivers." ?
Would he really say, "Nah, I'm good. Thanks though." ?
There is some disconnect with both theories.

It's a bunch of hear-say and bullshite.

Mile's reminds me of Mike Dikta. Take any quarterback off the street and hand the ball off to the backs and pound the ball.
Jarret Lee was the highest rated SEC Q.B. his Senior year and we pulled him for J.J. Miles has not recruited 1 quarterback out of high school that has made a NFL rooster.

Keep hearing the same thing, though. Getting tough to ignore. Especially when he shows no emotion at all on the sidelines.

Jennings prolly looks great in practice and something is keeping Harris on the bench so he must really suck during the week. Hope he ain't a bust but he isn't doing us any good either. I watched a lot of teams Saturday with better QB than LSU, Kansas frosh is way better than Jennings.

I disagree, but if true, then Les Miles is to blame for having such poor qb depth. There were not surprise early entrees at the qb spot.

And to act like AJ is head and shoulders above Harris is also insane. Dude needs a break. At least then he wouldn't have to shoulder the blame for the putrid offense.

I'm all for getting BH playing time. One of these guys is going to lead us next season. But we have also had some big time recruits hit the road for whatever reason. My point was that anyone who points to a good game against Sam Houston but ignores how lost BH looked against Wisconsin when he was in and how badly those 11 incompletions missed open receivers in the Auburn game is kidding themselves

That was 2 months ago, and he got 3 plays vs Wisconsin.

No worse than Jennings has shown in the last 3 games.
Hey, if Aaron Nola was pitching for LSU, and he gave up 8 runs in the first inning, it might be time to get another pitcher in the game. Sometimes when you are getting absolutely no production, you have to make a change.

It's not true. If it were true miles would not say we would see more Harris.. How can people not comprehend. Miles wont even back such attitude.. Not even to try to get into the opponents head.
If he had this issue with Harris he would not publicly say we will see more Harris.

We made a change against Auburn. Didn't really work out. We don't have a good qb on our roster. We have one who doesn't have a good arm, and we have another who is too nervous

It's all speculation and it's complete BS in my opinion.
Someone presents a theory....then the next 20 people say "they heard it."
Pomanski was saying it they s morning. And he's indicating that it's coming from inside the program.
The job is there for the taking and apparently Harris doesn't care enough to put in the work to take it. And that's strange because that's not what we thought we were getting with Harris.
But, it's just an example of why freshman rarely play. Sometimes they can't get out of their own way.

I believe you're right. Natural playing ability right now, I do believe goes to Harris though. Cool under pressure, work ethic, and knowledge of the playbook goes to Jennings.
LSU would have the perfect young QB if these two could be blended into one. However, one of them must gain "some" of the attributes of the other.
According to chatter, Jennings practices must translate to the field and Harris' work ethic, film study, and knowledge of the playbook must begin showing up in practice.

Harris has done everything correctly. He enrolled early, maintained his grades to get here early. He spent all offseason working with the guys and even attended the qb guru camp. He has kept clean and said very mature things all along. He even had Jennings back when the fans were booing. He stood up for Jennings like a great leader.
Brandon had one moment of frustration, but immediately apologized and took it back.. Now you can't blame him when you don't know what all has been said to him or what all is going on.
People should seriously stop with believing such bs. We've seen both qbs this season and one is not getting it done whatsoever.. So play the more talented guy who had outperformed him over the season. I still can't believe people are so quick to bring up Harris one and only start on the road as a true fresh and that all of sudden means give up on him.. Several elite true freshman have bounced back this season after a poor game

I agree that Harris' ceiling is much higher, but I haven't seen anything from him that makes me believe he gives us a better chance to win today. I want him to get more PT these last 2 games because we can't do any worse and he might be our starter next season
