Nope
Reading the wiki and saw this:
quote:

The Vancouver Grizzlies had the highest probability to win the NBA draft lottery, but since they were an expansion team along with the Toronto Raptors, they were not allowed to select first in this draft.[2] The team with the second highest probability, the Philadelphia 76ers won the lottery and obtained the first selection. The Toronto Raptors and the Vancouver Grizzlies were second and third respectively.

I've never heard of this rule. Shouldn't they want the expansion team to pick first?

"people close to the program/in the building" say:

Harris leaves as soon as practice is done, AJ stays and works with film/receivers

Harris hasn't worked to learn the playbook

If this is true, I wonder if the coaches said, "Hey Brandon, we would like to start you, but we want to see you stay after practices and put in the time in the film room and work with the receivers." ?

Would he really say, "Nah, I'm good. Thanks though." ?

There is some disconnect with both theories.

Well if that is how you really feel, we'll just have to agree to disagree. Shaun is the best Pegg character of all the movies and his relationship with the other characters is the deepest. I would just encourage everyone to rewatch each and decide if they still think Fuzz is the best. I just felt compelled to argue for Shaun because, before reading this thread, I thought it was pretty much universally accepted as the best one.

I didn't mean to make it sound like Shaun was different in that way, I was simply pointing it out because most of the movie homages and references they are making are from movies made in the 60s and 70s and not as obvious to the casual viewer.
I think Shaun is the best of the three mainly because it has so much more heart than the other two. I know that is vague reasoning, but it's the only way to describe it without giving everyone a manifesto to read.

Blows my mind that so few have Shaun at the top. If you have the dvd or can find it, watch it with the directer commentary and story notes. There is soooo much winks and homages to past zombie movies it's insane. There is absolutely no way you could improve it. It is a perfect movie.

I love how people complain all the time that 08 ruined Miles, he can't get over it, and he's handcuffed the offense ever since. Then we see multiple threads about how Les shouldn't throw Harris to the wolves because it will ruin him like Lee. Can we at least be consistent in our beliefs?

Oh and Harris won't be like Lee in 08. He has one thing that Lee desperately lacked: escapability. Jefferson had it in 08. Admittedly he didn't light the world on fire by any means that year, but his escapability it lowered his learning curve and helped his margin for error.
Everyone is missing the point:

That does seem a little dark for a Stooges movie
This is the only game that I never felt what I did to win was cheap. You do whatever you have to do to defeat an enemy. Anything goes.
Like others have said, it depends on what it is for, but I would rather be safe than sorry. Both are great and well respected. I have seen Tommy D'amico work and know that he is very fair with his fees. If you want to get the best bang for your buck, I would go with D'amico. FWIW, I've always assumed that I would hire him if I ever got in any trouble

I also know the guy and just want to corroborate this part

I am really not too surprised by this or others posting that he is a creepy/strange guy.

I know this doesn't fit the criteria, but I laugh every time I see this part LINK
It's been a while but I'm pretty sure the maze was the same as a medallion that her husband(corpse) wore. That's why jake g. (I think, maybe jackman) put it together when he saw the old picture in the glasses kid's room in the old woman's house.

Sorry, on my phone. Hopefully you get it
I agree that he got snubbed, but that article is just silly.

It's funny you should mention them choosing Wind Waker for a HD remake over other Zelda titles. Here is a portion of an interview with Zelda series director Eiji Aonuma that recently came out about Toon Link being more accepted this time around:

quote:

While Nintendo stuck to its guns following The Wind Waker, the negative fan reaction to the game had Nintendo go back to a more realistic art style for The Twilight Princess. "We had that negative reaction to that art style and then we did a 180, thinking 'maybe this is what the fans want,'" Aonuma admitted. "It wasn't just that in terms of the direction of the art style for Twilight Princess, but I think that was a big influence."

Nintendo experimented with an HD port of Twilight Princess Given Twilight Princess' more realistic graphics, wouldn't it have been a better fit for an HD remake? Instead, Nintendo decided to focus its efforts on remastering The Wind Waker for Wii U. Aonuma told us that they actually did experiment with making HD versions of Wii's Zelda games, but they didn't have the transformative effect they wanted.

"Certainly, we tried. We did a test of Twilight Princess in HD. But it didn't turn into a new thing. It looked better, it looked cleaner, and it looked like a master version of the game," he said. "But with Wind Waker, it really changed into something different--it changed into that really-looking-like-a-cartoon style we were aiming for, but we couldn't because of the Gamecube's power."

In fact, the HD version of Wind Waker may be part of why the game is so well-received today. "I think now, the reason why people are enjoying it so much, that's a part of it."

I wish they would've released a HD version of TP, but I more have respect for them that they didn't make it if it didn't truly transform the game. Shows that they care about the product more than just making money

Sorry, can't link bc on phone.

I also think it's due to Brees being given time to make the pre snap reads and check with mes

^This. It has been like this for years now. Brees isnt the only one. Watch for it in other games, specifically a Green Bay game. Rodgers runs it down to close to 0 every snap too

Haha yea I forgot about that one. That was definitely one of the better ones. I also agree that it was interesting to see all this self proclaimed Kubrick experts have vastly different views of similar scenes.

I don't want people to think that I didn't like the movie. It wasn't bad. Just don't set your expectations too high and be open minded.

Oh I agree and understand completely. I know about his obsession and have heard the stories of how he'd call king at 3am and ask him random questions like "do you believe in God?" Just to get a better understanding and to get the perfect shot for a single scene. It is also explained ad nauseam in the film. I'm simply saying that some of the people's interpretations of some scenes were much more believable [SPOILERS] ( like the placement of the office and the magazine jack reads waiting) than others. A lot of the people tried to dissect every single thing and a lot of theories weren't convincing ( like the Minotaur). Either there was no deeper meaning or their interpretations of why Kubrick placed it there is wrong
