I don't think that filming it is all that bad. After all, you want to document whatever you can. What is disturbing to me is posting the video on social media. I get that everyone grieves in their own way, but how can posting the video to social media be anything but attention seeking? Maybe that and grieving are one in the same for this person? I feel bad for the guy but sharing the video to all the world seems inappropriate considering the circumstances.

Not sure if this is why he posted it on social media, but he's raised almost $109k from donations. I think that should cover the burials and some grieving time!

Posting the video to raise money seems even worse.

What if it was posted to social media for family and friends to view that weren't able to visit the hospital? It may be that family couldn't be there at the hospital with him and he wanted them to be a part of this time. He may not have intended for the video to go viral. In fact, I seriously doubt he did.

Anyone who feels the need to judge such actions needs a kick to the face.
Seriously....it impacts you not one single bit.
This constant need for people in today's society to either have to love something, hate it, be offended by it or defend it is past the stage of outrageous.
This world needs more indifference.

OK, good deal.
Please let us know if y'all need anything. It's a tough time right now, staying there all the time, but things will get better soon. Hang tough, Dad.

Decided against watching this yesterday but watched this time only because I'm sitting next to my sleeping baby boy while mom is in the other room. Glad I waited and could hold his little hand. What a sad story. I know that guy is stronger than me simply for being able to make it through the song. I can't even imagine the grief.

I don't need to judge anything. It's only natural to react to something like this.

Stop using the word "need." You act like it is insane that people should comment on any news ever. Give me a break.

My son was born 7 weeks ago by C-section. He had some trouble keeping his oxygen levels up at first. My wife had a blood vessel rupture on her bladder that required a urologist to fix. Both were very small things that probably would have fixed themselves without any intervention. Son went to the Nursery for observation to see if he needed to be admitted to NICU and wife waited in surgery for the urologist. I sat in the hospital room for an hour and a half waiting. I was a basket case not knowing what was going on with both of them. Felt like days waiting to hear something. Everything happened so fast, they couldn't give me much info. That's not close to losing anyone, but I know how bad just that felt. I could not imagine this. I don't think I could go on.

My daughter was in NICU for two weeks this past September before passing away. On her last day, the wife and I tried to make the most "moments" we could.
They lifted the case, since she was no longer being protected from potential infection and we were able to touch her.
We sang to her and I read "Goodnight Moon" to her, like I'd read to her big brother hundreds of times.
It was the hardest thing I've ever done, knowing that it was my only chance to do it.
This video was tough to watch, especially knowing he lost his partner as well. I don't know where I'd be through all of this without my wife.

So sorry for you, man. I can't even imagine. I love my daughter more than anything in the world. Best wishes to you and your family.
It is good to be reminded occasionally how fortunate I am to have healthy kids.
