I am very guarded against "blaming" poor officiating for the outcome of games. I have a close friend who officiates on the college level. According to him, there is no doubt there are coaches/programs who get the benefit of the doubt. According to this same friend, its because, when these same influential coaches/programs grade out referees, those opinions matter more...Since PP's interception, refs in Bama/LSU games have been a very negative distraction...

You're absolutely right. It was a BLATANT pass interference penalty.

ON BAMA, you f*cktard.

They were holding hands because LSU's DB (Collins) tried to slap down the Bama receiver's arm as he was attempting to push off on Collins as the ball was in the air. On his way down the Gump WR's arm, they locked hands.

And, it should have been called ... OFFENSIVE PASS INTERFERENCE.

No doubt.

We are fans and letting outcomes affect our lives is just a part of being such insane people.

Well, you stated there were bad calls both ways. LSU fans name 7 calls that were crucial to the outcome of the game. You can only name one call.

You are assuming that without the pass interference the Bama receiver would have caught the pass for a score. I will grant you that if you grant me the following:

1) Without the personal foul at the five yard line LSU scores a TD instead of the FG
2) On second down in OT Bama is called for PI when they rode Dupre out of bounds with the ball in the air
3)On 3rd down in OT Bama is flagged for the PI on Durel at the 3 yard line and LSU scores
4) On the game tying FG drive the completion to the LSU 13 is reviewed and reversed setting Bama in very long FG range
5) Instead of picking up the PI flag on Bama the call stands and LSU is in FG range
6) On the first play of overtime Bama is called for illegal formation for not having 7 players on the line of scrimmage. If so the completion down to the goal line is negated and the personal foul moves the ball back to the 40 yard line
7) The punt LSU downed inside the 1 yard line is properly called

I appreciate you being magnanimous in victory but its hard for us long time LSU fans to respond in kind when virtually every couple of years crucial calls like those I listed have a significant impact on the outcome of games ( see the clear Patrick Peterson interception in 2008 which disallowed).

He was probably pissed when he saw the Alexander personal foul called after his leg was being manhandled by the Bama defender.

There's no way you know that for sure. It could've gone just like it did when we were stuffed by State at the goal line.

The penalty gave Bama 40 of the 50 seconds they had left to drive down the field to kick the tying FG

We had a QB throw for 30%. Receivers dropping balls left and right. OC that has the guy with the 5th most carries getting the ball in the 4th quarter. 40% on 3rd down. Frantic offense in OT. No urgency in crunch time. No one stepping up when it mattered. Fournette gets one touch in our last 3 drives (2&G from the 21).

And we think there's an officiating bias. C'mon. Take care of your own stuff and it doesn't come down to officiating or bias or anything else.

There was pushing after the whistle the whole dam game and they wait until then to call something. Alexander did not do anything. It was a bullshite call.

Alexander shoved the guy pulling on his leg. It should have either been a no-call or off-setting. He was also shoved from behind after he shoved the Bama defender.

I know there were no guarantees, but look at in the context of the response to the prior poster. If we are to accept his premise of best case scenario for BAMA then we must assume best case scenario for LSU.

you bama piece of shtt go back and talk with your cheating paying ref fanbase.

we don't need your ignorant condescending crap here.

I could give a crap who you follow.

people like you make me sick.you cant just go to your bama board and gloat on your cheating scumbag paid refs that screw every team you play. And the plays you talk about are every play your db play. They mugged us downfield and their was no call for us.

your defensive backs know they have immunity just like your lineman.

And glassman that is the mentality that leads to getting screwed.

When you let them play as you say bama holds like crazy already and it isn't called.

And their selective oh calls go both ways is bs.

The ref that threw the flag on alexander saw a bama player push an lsu player before he turned around and selectively didn't call the foul.

Don't throw crap on me and tell me your trying to improve my smell.

I know when someone is sticking something in my rectum and you can accept these bastards and their cheating scumbag fanbase or you can start stepping up and demanding those bama crooks in the sec office get rid of these referees on the take.

Slive is a gd criminal and if I ever see that bama lovin sob I am going to give him one hell of an earful.

Bama cheats deal with that

go celebrate with the rest of the cheats on your board
