re: Alabama has killed us as a championship calibre program...

Alabama is a program that expects to win. They've shown this in their last 4 games with LSU. It's a hump LSU just hasn't gotten over with equal or superior talent as indicated by several last drive losses in the past few years.
This!^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
At this point, I'm not blaming Anthony Jennings, the coaching staff, the personal foul penalty, etc. When it comes down to it, Alabama understands what it takes to win a championship. They understand when they need to get a key stop or a key drive to win a ball game. We're not there yet. Honestly, I'm not sure how we get there. I'm not a coach so I don't know how that mindset is instilled. Clearly, Alabama has it and we don't.
These last four losses to them have shown us they know how to dominate us, and they also know how to win in the clutch against us. THAT is not an accident. We should've won last night AND we should've won the game in 2012. Both times the gameplan.........regardless of the criticism........was sound enough to win. Yet, we are unable to seal the deal and they put together key drives in the last minute that are the difference in the game. Two years ago I attributed it to having AJ McCarron as their QB. But after watching Sims do the EXACT SAME THING.....after having had a horrible game to that point.......lets me know this is no longer a coincidence.
I'm not saying we'll never beat Alabama again while Saban is there. But it definitely FEELS that way. I wonder how emotionally invested our fanbase will be in this game next season. I think emotionally, this took a lot out of them. I think we'll be enthusiastic. But I also feel that most of them will be apprehensive to get their hopes up for a win. We'll see. Right now, we are a deflated fanbase.

I do not think that most here truly understand what happened last night to this program. Again, I think the officiating had a huge effect as it frequently does, but CLM had better change something because as I said some time back, until he can beat Saban, this program will be an also ran. That should be his mission, but hey, I am a terrible fan for being disappointed and confused by the offensive non performance for many years under this head coach.\\\\\

you have always been a pathetic pussy on here. I certainly don't expect you to stop now. Just wish you were a man of your word and took a break....like forever.
You know I've rustled some jimmies and taken some personal shots on here, so I won't play holier than thou. But if what I wrote really gets under your skin enough to elicit all of this bitching, whining, and mudslinging, it tells me two things.
1. You know I'm right (and I know you do, btw).
2. You are one sorry, soggy, sniveling, milquetoast little son of a bitch.
I'd sooner take advice on how to be a man from my neighbor's Cockatoo.

What's more embarrassing than this post is the fact that it has way more up votes than down votes...
You are a pussy
Everybody that up voted this is a pussy
And it looks like majority of this fan base got sand in their vagina last night.
If you want nick Saban to be your daddy, go ahead and suck on his tits, but I'm not gonna join you. This team is incredibly young and the progress they have made this year alone is ridiculous. If you don't think that we are a national title contender next year than you are delusional. Depending on what guys come back, this defense has the potential to be 2011 good next year.. This team will be scary next year when BH has grown up. I fully expect him to be as good as mettenberger by the end of next year

Hollow, why the anger and the name calling? I do not get it? He had nothing to do with the loss. Are you upset because LSU choked another game away against 'Bama. I am, but I am not going to resort to name calling.
Have a nice day.

Right, but you are spot on. People get pissed off when you speak what they don't want to hear sometimes.

I guess you looked in your crystal ball.
No point watching, then.

Sorry you can't handle the truth... LSU got beat last night and Saban had a lot to do with that.. Miles ALSO had a big factor in LSU getting beat... His choice to do that stupid squib kick was a HORRIBLE choice.

A definitive statement that LSU is "dead" as a championship caliber program is asinine and a knee jerk reaction. Yes, they have won 4 in a row against LSU, but to say that means that the Tigers can't or will never beat them or win another championship is an opinion. Not fact. Thus, my opinion that the OP and those ascribing to that thinking are vaginas.
I called in knee-jerk in 2009 and 2010. I mused about it on 10 Jamuary 2012 (you can find the post). I said that I'm beginning to wonder if we'll be able to compete at Bama's level over the next several years. Even then, I didn't imagine that we would be waiting until the end of 2015 for a shot to beat them.
There is nothing knee-jerk about my post. Just think about it a bit more.

Well, they weren't really into the game last night either, so there's that.

All just my opinion... It's not just Alabama. If Alabama wasn't "up", some other SEC team would be. And A&M joining the SEC hurts LSU's recruiting.
The offensive philosophy will not win any NC without a lights out defense and lights out special teams.
Last night, think about it, tied game, LSU recovers a fumble inside the Alabama 5 yard line with little time left in the game, and STILL could not close out with a win.
Last night LSU fans were complaining about refs, and cheating... whatever. I witnessed a conservative offense that's afraid to do anything different, and a team that imploded. Alabama took the win that LSU gave them.

You're right! We really need to drop football altogether and put that money into academics.
