You should have called the cops asap, and had them write a report up. Unless there is cameras, he can deny it, and you'll be on the hook

Call each day for a week. No answer? Use his car tag to get his name and address. Place a ball peen hammer in your truck once you stalk and see where he routinely goes each day. Practice with ball peen to make a nice dent, then execute said swing on his car when all is clear. Feel great afterwards! TMIA!

get over it.

It's a truck, not a finger.

Go get some cancer or something, and put things in perspective.

screw all the people saying don't worry about it.

If I catch someone ding my doors, I would stomp a big dent in their car.

It's a PITA, but it's life. Call popadent and go to Home Depot, buy some wood, build a bridge and get over it.

If you cant get him on the phone, file it through your insurance.

It will be paid after your deductible on your comprehensive coverage.

quote:

While I was sitting it my truck at Auto Zone. It's to the metal and also made a small dent. It was the edge of the door of a Honda Accord, which comes to like a point. I got out of my truck and he apologized but I asked him to pay to fix it. It's a 4 month old truck. We exchanged cell numbers and I wrote down his plate. Of course I call the number and it goes straight to a message saying the voice mail is not set up. I can see two cameras on the parking lot so I am sure it's on camera. Call the cops? Will I get shot? I have no dogs with me.

Stop being lazy and parking next to other people. My wife hates it, but I always park far enough away from the store so that I'm not next to any other cars. I don't trust anyone.

It's a truck, it's supposed to be a little dinged up.

Sorry bro, your only chance of the cops caring is if this happened in a PetSmart or Dunkin Donuts parking lot.

To the OP, my mom did that to my Beemer once. I still have the fricking mark on my car, but I can't hate my mom... it just teaches you that material things are fallible... life is about relationships.
