You guys were right, the check I wrote for three kids at sgs was 13k. We are catholic, and live in the parish. We give to the church each month, but a nominal amount.

I said Vietnamese. They aren't busting curves. You think all all Asians are the same or something?

Ascension Christian in Gonzales is a great school. Awesome culture and a up and coming school and athletic program. I know many "catholic" kids go there also.

How long has it been around and how many of the kids go on to CHS or SJA?

Q: how hard is it for a child to get into a catholic school and doesn't belong to its parish?

Ex: we live in st Jude's parish but want to send the kid to SGS, SAS, sacred heart, etc etc

I think it's up to the school you're applying to.

In our case, St. George doesn't require it, but it helps.

We live in Prairieville (St. John church parish) but wanted to join St. George Parish to increases our chances of getting in.

We had to get a "release" from St. John's pastor since we physically resided in that parish.

Our reason for doing so (St. John didn't have a school at that time) was accepted and we were allowed to join St. George.
