Why would TX's (Dallas) trash be coming to LA. I would think a major city in a state like Texas would have its own landfill?

I figured this would've been buried near walker, contributing to that horrid smell on I-12 in the mornings.

Trash gets transported all over the place

The landfill in Carlyss specializes in hazardous wastes

I don't see what the big fuss is over some incinerated ashes

Meh...where that facility is in Carlyss off of the interstate there are plenty of areas near by that could stand to be cleansed by ebola.

Caldwell was setting back the image of Louisiana 40 years with his interview on WWL.

The FB comments for the article kind of made me want to burn the state to the ground to cleanse the stupidity.

I suspect this has more to do with the AG facing re-election next year than it does with any health dangers to Louisiana citizens.

The AG is grandstanding, plus maybe it's a move to squeeze money out of the waste company. The chance that it's really health-related is basically zero.

hmmmmm . . . ebola cases in Dallas. Feds want to ship potentially tainted material to Louisiana. Is it a coincidence that we 're only talking about traditionally conservative-voting states? Ship it to New York if there is no problem with the ashes.
