This.
My little sister had one implanted about 2 months ago. Even after 3 back surgery's that didn't help, that pack helped her. She is able to walk without a cane most days now.
She broke her back in two places and is lucky she can walk.

I called and scheduled a second epidural steroid injection but they won't do it till next Friday. I also made appt to see a guy at the neuro medical center on the 21st. Still in lots of pain.

Update:
Thanks for all the good information. I met with Oberlander at neuromedicaI and he recommended surgery but he was booked for a few weeks. I am now scheduled with Bowie at neuromedical center for Friday morning. I hope all goes well I am worried of side effects.

I know people that have had great results with Scrantz. Problem is, he knows he's that good.

Hope all goes well for you, I've been amazed at the wide variety of recommendations and historical outcomes. While I have a minor back issue that doesn't slow me down, all this information and suggestion is bafflingly diverse.

Well, since Optometrists can do surgery now too, you might even get more opinions.

I have been in the ER twice for the pain and the shots did nothing. I have had two MRI's and the doctors say there is nothing physical therapy or more shots will do to stop the disc from rubbing against the herniation.

Have you even tried an Optometrist?

I have a coworker that was in so much pain, he stood up all day at work...even in meetings when everyone else was sitting, he would stand up around the perimeter of the room...
after all of the epidurals, physical therapy, etc., he finally scheduled surgery last week...
I called him monday morning and he says he is 100% pain free and was sitting in his recliner for the first time in nearly a year...
don't worry about it, man...you are making the right decision...

The way he stated was he was going to try with the tube and if that doesn't work then he will switch to something else that will open it up wider

Oberlander is an Axxhole. Not shocked they want to do surgery. Hope everything turns out well for you.
Posted on 10/29/14 at 7:19 pm to DieSmilen
What do they charge to do this?

What did he do to make you think he was an axx?

I have gotten really good help from the OT on multiple occasions. It just depends who shows up to respond. Some can be flamers but others can provide great information.
