I am going to assume you made that up.
There is no way a rational person could see what we have seen against our SEC competition and believe that to be true.
We have two SEC games...resulting in two loses and we have EXACTLY TWO THIRD DOWN CONVERSIONS. TWO!!!
What is his standard for where we need to be offensively!?!

We never have and never will get much info out of Les, good times or bad. Agree about coordinators on sideline.
Change some stuff up.

The qbs couldn't make a pass, what system would make them be accurate with the ball? You guys are crazy.

I heard it. He said it.
I think what he meant was that we were actually in the stadium and on the field where an offense should be.

ETA as much as I can't stand Lane Kiffin, it sure is nice to see someone down on the field coaching up the QB and the rest of the offense all game long
They still lost. This was such a bad example.

wrong. there were 12 seconds on the clock when the previous play ended. Could have taken one shot to the endzone, then kicked the ball.

I understand that we are young at some critical areas on the offense. However, that statement by Miles is hilariously bad.

Why does he need an alibi? His thoughts were to save the TO in case the play resulted in being down in the field of play. If he calls a TO, he can only try a FG. By making a first down the play clock won't start until the ref signals. Players should know the situation and know they have to get the play completed quickly. He trusted his players to execute. Simple as that. They failed.
As the team is running down the field, the coach should know what they are going to do. When the clock starts ticking away it was incredibly obvious that they weren't running a quick play. You can call a timeout there and get 3 points.
Throwing the players under the bus for that mess is bush league.

That's what he was saying. They started the clock early. It was at 10 when they let us set.

Exactly. Should be plenty of time for play downed in the field of play to get a TO if necessary. If Les calls a TO, then the half will likely end on a play within the field of play.
But yes I can see it both ways. It was a decision. And a decision that likely wouldn't have affected the outcome of the game.

Even more, he has failed to show that he has a clue to what the players are capable of and this is an example. The bigger issue is he has no clue how to tailor the game plan to the personnel and consistently fails to get the best out of everyone. No matter who plays, he just keeps trying what he wants (JJ- running the option over and over and over for example).
He is a stubborn man and that will be his undoing if he does not adapt.

Like the game in Tuscaloosa which resulted in a win...

doesn't matter, you can call a TO before the ball gets set for the next play

Wow, one example? There are literally dozens of examples of where it was an epic failure. What about 1/9? That was the most epic failure yet and it was trying the same damn thing over and over.

get cam on the sideline. Tell Les this weeks game starts at 8:30......
Posted on 10/6/14 at 2:30 pm to Mobiletiger
Does anyone recall us ever gaining positive yardage on a toss dive? (at least against a top tier SEC team?)
And yet, that's your call on 3rd and short?
Ridiculous

True. Harris was not accurate with most of his passes, but I think there is something to say about calling plays to get your QB comfortable. Instead, he hands the ball off for 8 straight plays and is then expected to hit on timing routes.

he really thinks there is nothing wrong with the game plan
Does anyone listening to this who actually watched the game really think going to the spread was the answer this weekend? The team ran well of 1st down even though Auburn knew it was coming virtually all game long.
What the offense didn't do well was pass the ball. Wide open guys were missed badly. Should you just keep throwing in that situation hoping it will eventually work while stopping the clock at every incompletion? It only helps Auburn to score even more points. Pass protection was pretty good for the most part.
Harris' rating was 6.8. To put that into perspective, as bad as Jennings played against Miss St. he had a 27.8 rating.
