Dude, that kid Harris totally fricked it up. Don't blame the head coach. He can't play the game for the players.

how is Harris responsible for Auburn's 41 pts...

Les already explained it to you. If Harris and the offense had done their job and kept the ball, the defense would never have been embarrassed like that. It's so clear. Harris is the starting QB at LSU! He gets the glory and free tuition with all the perks! Kid needs to step up or step aside. Miles has 80% winz while Harris has nothing, so we KNOW whose fault it is.

These "young men of quality" can only get you so far with athletic ability. At some point, someone on that coaching staff is going to have to teach fundamentals. Recruiting 4/5 star players and then having them leave after 3 yrs is a direct result of the boneheaded shite thats gone on around here for years.

Harris screwed up, yes, but Les still has the timeout and once he saw he wasn't spiking it, he should've called the timeout. Plain and simple. Poor player execution doesn't excuse a coaching blunder, except for Les pumpers.

Look, dude. I've never pumped Les (I doubt he'd let me even if I tried). Just saying, don't doubt tLegend.

Rather than turn the channel, I decided to listen. I will chalk that up as a life lesson. 20 minutes of my life I will never get back.

2 1/2 years ago when A&M and Mizzou joined the SEC most of the talk on this board was that the candy arse spread offenses run in the Big 12 would never work against the bad boy defenses in the SEC. Les got the message.

candy arse spread offense

What's funny is, some people do not understand what "running the spread" means.

The spread can be - and often IS in college football - a power running attack. Some Big 5 teams like TAMU run it as an air raid attack, but many do not. Like Mizzou, who played for the SEC title last year. You empty the box by spreading the field, allowing the QB and RB more room to operate. The Mississippi schools run the spread...and RUN is the key word since they do that more than throw it. It's called modern football.

Now why don't people use the I-formation as a base offense? Maybe because it brings more defenders into the box and near the line of scrimmage. What does that mean? You are more predictable (less WRs on the field usually) and more likely to pay for a mistake on a given play (more guys to block means more chances to frick up).

The spread can be very simple, not complicated. Smart teams run it unless they have truly dominant offensive lines. If you fail in recruiting linemen, you better not be running the I as a main scheme against good defenses.

You obviously do not know what you are talking about, carry on then... and no, its way to early to take that kind of gamble, we struggle to just get any kind of first down, yet you think its better to attempt a play 20+ yards for a touchdown instead of kicking a field goal with a reliable kicker. Harris did not make the correct decision, but Les could have called time out, my god, we pay this guy millions of dollars and he can't do the simplest of things. Its not hard to figure out.
